"Joanna Lawrence asked him, who still wore a thin shirt, "Aren't you cold?"
"Hmm, I'm not cold." Ashton Heath put his coat on Joanna after which he tucked his hand around her waist, bringing her closer to himself, half-carrying her into the car. "Men are hardier to the cold than women. Last time you had a cold, you were sick for almost a month. How could you afford not to be careful?"
Joanna intentionally teased him, "So you're afraid that if I catch a cold, you'll be troubled taking care of me."
Ashton stroked her forehead, not applying any actual force, only symbolically making a move. He smiled and said, "You ungrateful little one, did I ever care for you less? Do I dread the trouble or do I worry about you, don't you know it yourself?"
"If you caught a cold during our honeymoon, and spent each day bedridden in the hotel, wouldn't you complain about it the rest of your life?"
