Chapter 101 - 101

"What details! I didn't think that you had to suffer like this for two hundred years without amorous connections," Luanlia was amazed at the story. "So, you, like people, also have teenagers who dream of love."

"Besides syrinxes have sharper senses, so from childhood we are raised very harshly and are not given any liberties. Discipline weighs on us all our lives, and some cannot stand it, preferring painful execution for disobedience."

"Wow! Who would have thought! It seemed to me that you were living in heaven, as if you were living in paradise: the magic and accessibility of girls from the lower floors."

"People don't know anything about the celestials. They think we are arrogant and despise them for their weakness. They believe that we lead a vicious life and hide behind the war. And we are forbidden to communicate with mortals, for violation - execution."

"Hey, Gedeon, come here!" Amirel suddenly shouted.

A handsome tan-skined boy with long black hair like vines obediently approached him, guiltily hiding his gaze.

"Do you have nothing to do? Stop spying on the princess."

The boy cast a burning gaze at Luanlia and became indignant, looking

angrily at the Xantarian:

"I want to and I watch! You are not my father!"

"What difference does it make from whom you get a scolding?" Amirel spoke out.

"What did I do? I saw a beautiful girl and looked at her, what was wrong?"

"What's wrong? Don't let your thoughts loose, young man! I see and hear everything!"

Gedeon became embarrassed and walked away quickly.

"He can't to fly, but his fantasies are erotic," Amirel whispered.

"By the way, about the wings, when will they grow on me?" Luanlia perked up. "My back is still itching!"

"It's a long time to wait for them to hatch."

"Selestra already has it!"

"Only they still have ten years to grow before they can take off. In fact, connections with ancient magicians enhance magical abilities. Try with Palien or Ramies to speed up their growing."

"What are you talking about?"

"About making love!"

"Will you offer yourself too?"

His eyes sparkled brightly with blue flames.

"I'll suggest it someday, but it's too early. Get used to me first. I'm in no hurry to get into a relationship, although your mana must be very tasty."

Suddenly Luanlia said goodbye and left in disheveled feelings. She didn't like the utilitarian approach to princesses at all. Is there love at all in their society, where women are treated like energy food? She is pampered and nurtured like a vegetable in a garden, so that she can live well under the rays of magic and beauty, and then, under the guise of sincere feelings, she will be consumed with enjoyment.

Disappointment tore open her soul: nowhere was cloudless, neither in the human world, nor in the syrinx family. But there is no turning back: no one will help her return home from a distant planet, and Tain will not forgive her for betrayal.

She wandered around the city in thought, and trying to escape from the sadness, admiring the architecture of intricate towers with colored stained glass windows, buried in flowering trees.

"Please, princess, talk to me," she heard Gedeon's desperate voice from behind.

Luanlia looked back at him with a frown. His black hair covered half of his face with large sad eyes.

"About what?"

"I'm all alone, I have no one to talk to, and you're new, maybe you're lonely too. I'll show you the city."

She suddenly felt amused at the thought that they could have a friendship. He is not able to use her like adults, and she really needs someone simpler to communicate with. The irritation that others read minds killed the desire to talk with the syrinxes.

"Well, show me, if you're not joking?" She smiled at the teenager.

He happily jumped up to her, looking into her eyes, throwing back his long, disheveled hair. The barefoot, charming young man, dressed in a long purple tunic, was slightly taller than princess.

"Have you arrived from Xantari? My sister lives there," he chirped, fussing around her. —"Do you know Farenia? No? It's a pity! I wish I could go there."

"Not the best place to live, believe me," Luanlia said gloomily.

"Are you upset about something? Did Amirel say something? Molested? He exposed me to you like that, it's very unpleasant!"

"Yes, my mood is not a freely fountain! It's hard for me here, just like at home," - the princess admitted.

"Yes, I understand, it's not easy to live with magicians. They are telepaths and easily manipulate weak creatures like you and me. But someday we will become wizards and be strong."

"You don't know how to cast magic?"

"It doesn't work out well, I'm a half-breed, my mother was a human, I never saw her and my father. I lived in the forest like an animal, I was kicked out of the settlement. Lariel found me recently and adopted me."

"Are you a telepath?" - Luanlia asked, just in case.

"I only hear my father, that's how he controls me."

"Living with magicians bothers me, I don't know how to get used to it," - she said desperately.

Blackwinged walked past them along the cobbled streets, looking at the unfamiliar girl with curiosity.

"Gedeon, how you have matured and stretched out," one smiling woman with a baby in her arms touched his shoulder and winked at him.

She walked on, and he became very embarrassed and his hair again covered half of his face.

"Are you shy? Why?" - Luanlia chuckled.

"Well, she showed her interest in me," - Gedeon mumbled, hiding his eyes.

"In what sense? You're too young! Maybe it seemed to you?" - The princess was surprised.

"I don't consider myself a child, and local women always give hints about who they like, but this is the first time with me. She saw me with a girl and decided that I was ready for a date," the teenager explained stammeringly.

"Unheard of! How free morals are here! And it's hard to even imagine what will happen next. Where did I end up?" Luanlia was shocked.

She noticed the appraising glances of many men passing by and became embarrassed.

"Yes, it's hard for you to understand, you are from human society," - Gedeon quietly agreed, nodding his disheveled head. "But I'm very pleased that they paid attention to me."

They talked a lot and wandered around the city for a long time, sometimes relaxing in the shady fragrant gardens; rested on a patterned swing to the rustle of leaves and the vibrant singing of colorful birds.
