Chapter 143 - 143

Imarinis did not calm down and continued to ask questions.

"Where did Farenia go? We all miss her and are waiting for her return. Is it not in your power to bring her home?"

"I understand what thirst gnaws at you, but I don't dissolve marriages with strong mutual feelings, like hers. She does not want to be a Lamori, having two powerful husbands who will never part with her. So it won't work! Her family is still strong. Try your luck with Zarmina, she likes your appearance, especially your eyes."

"Is it true? Are my eyes special?" Imarinis was surprised.

"She is fascinated by their lilac color. There are no such men on Xantari. Our common ancestor Emilio with such eyes was the only one of the settlers and founded our family line with you. If you imitate Lariel's mannerism, perhaps she will fall in love with you. You are far from his abilities, but now you know in which direction to work on yourself. You need to gain a lot to conquer such women. One of the secrets of seduction is to be able to have intimate conversations, in which you do not need to show off your merits, but understand her needs and openly sympathize. Zarmina has a lot of negative experiences and this can be turned to her advantage. Violence will never help you win her affection. You will have to humiliate yourself greatly in order for her to allow you to start a conversation with her. If you do everything right, she will jump into your arms. I will move you to Ornalion tomorrow willingly, hoping for your success."

She often went into Gedeon's bedroom and looked after him, hoping for his awakening, but everything was in vain, the young man continued to be in a coma.

Over the course of many days, Zarmina, while in the palace, received only short bursts of attention from her beloved Lariel, and despite this, she was still very pleased to live in this paradise, blooming place with good-natured and sociable residents.

She loved to walk alone along the streets of the city, but she often caught the eye of her offender Imarinis, who pretended to be casually wandering nearby about his business. They made eye contact, but the princess proudly averted her gaze from the smiling vamp, without greeting him in return.

Ramies and Amirel did not even try to communicate with her, knowing that she was unapproachable. They calmly walked past her, ironically looking after her.

The sudden appearances of Adivaris greatly irritated Xantarian Princess. He always put his arm around her shoulders, clinging to her like an old acquaintance.

"How stubborn you are!" The Ruler said, looking into her eyes. "The guy is crazy about you, and it's hard for you to talk to him. Look how handsome he is, almost like your beloved Lariel, who is also his cousin. A great chance to get a good husband."

"I had enough rapists in my homeland to communicate with them here," - she answered angrily.

"Listen then! I'll send you home and make you live with Tarmio if you continue to ignore cutie Imarinis. I am not kidding!"

Zarmina shuddered at his threats; she did not at all want to leave this planet with her beloved Lariel and Gedeon. She had to reluctantly greet the annoying Azarenian the next time she met and stand next to him.

"Zarmina!" Imarinis exclaimed, his eyes sparkling with delight. "Forgive me, I did bad to you, but let me make amends."

He knelt before her in the middle of the street in full view of everyone. The Blackwinged stared at them in surprise, not understanding what was happening.

"Why humiliate yourself like that in front of everyone? I do not need it!"

Zarmina muttered and lightly kicked the guy on the leg. She didn't want the residents to think she was a spoiled bitch.

He quickly jumped up and blinked in fear at her angry gaze.

"Now they'll think of me as mocking you," Zarmina hissed in his face.

"It's customary here to ask for forgiveness in especially difficult cases," - Imarinis fussed.

His guilty eyes, a blazing lilac color, softened her anger. She could not take her eyes off them, admiring their absorbing beauty and expressiveness.

His image strongly resembled Lariel: similar eyes and a seductive smile.

"Okay, I forgive you," she said coolly. "But don't expect a kiss. I don't tolerate vamps at all. You have a wife, why did you come at me like some kind of savage?"

"She left me," Imarinis babbled with a sad expression.

"Oh, poor fellow!" Zarmina blurted out sarcastically. "Didn't you know that mortals can't live with vampires?"

"I didn't know before. Without love it's hard, pure torment."

"Everything is simple here on Xantari. If there are no girls, the guys quietly make out with each other and there are no problems. Are you doing this too?"

She laughed mockingly.

He winced and did not object, so as not to test her patience.

The princess muttered to him through her teeth:

"Let's agree: I communicate with you, and you pretend that you are satisfied with everything and are very happy."

"Is someone watching us?" Imarinis suggested, looking around.
