Aldana returned upstairs as if sleepwalking.
In the shadows, her face was so red it seemed ready to bleed.
No matter how hard she tried, she couldn't figure out herself—couldn't figure out why she would lower her head to kiss Philip Shaw in such a circumstance. It was simply... madness.
She stood in the corner, calming herself, until Ellen Candi, who came out to drink water, noticed her.
"Aldana?" Ellen approached, her voice tinged with a hint of curiosity, "When did you come upstairs, and why are you standing here alone?"
Aldana quickly brushed her hair down to cover her face, trying to hide the blush on her cheeks. She coughed lightly, her voice a bit hoarse: "... Just came up."
Ellen looked at her closely, her voice growing even more puzzled: "... Aldana, why is your face so red?"
Aldana felt greatly embarrassed, not knowing how to respond to Ellen's words, when she heard Eric Candi's voice coming from not far away, "What are you two doing standing there?"
