Aldana was awakened by Norris Moore's shaking.
She hadn't fully woken up when Norris abruptly pulled her out of bed. "What's wrong?" She looked at Norris's actions, a wave of panic for no reason, "What happened?"
Norris didn't look back at her, perhaps afraid to meet her gaze or just too hurried, only pulling her quickly out, his voice hoarse and coming from his turned back: "...You'll understand once you go down and see."
Aldana, in a daze, seemed to have sensed something. Everything around her became blurry; she felt lighter, as if she were a kite, being led downstairs by Norris.
When she reached the bottom, everyone was already there. Eric and Ellen stood together, each wearing a silent expression, watching her with unspoken words. Doctors gathered around the operating table, moved to the sides upon seeing her, revealing a narrow path. At the end of the path was a man, face covered with a white cloth, breathless.
