Venomira's smile slowly widened.

Then...

It became a laugh.

"Hehehe..."

"Hehehehehe..."

Finally, she threw her head back.

"HAHAHAHAHAHA!!"

The crystal arena trembled beneath the sheer pressure of her demonic mana.

Diamondhead instinctively raised his guard.

"...What are you doing?"

Venomira simply spread her arms.

"You've passed."

"My first test."

Her crimson eyes shone with excitement.

"I've confirmed it."

"Your body truly rejects my poison."

"So..."

She looked directly into Diamondhead's eyes.

"...There's no point continuing with physical experiments."

Charlotte, watching from outside the crystal wall, frowned.

"What is she planning?"

Julius' smile faded.

"...Something's wrong."

Without another word...

Venomira's entire body began dissolving.

Dark violet smoke poured from her skin.

Her wings disappeared.

Her limbs unraveled into swirling mist until nothing resembling a physical body remained.

Diamondhead's crystalline eyes narrowed.

"A smoke spell?"

"No..."

Venomira's voice echoed from every direction.

"It's simply another application of my Authority."

The violet mist suddenly surged forward.

Diamondhead immediately thrust both hands outward.

Hundreds of emerald crystal spikes erupted from the ground.

But...

They struck nothing.

The smoke effortlessly drifted between every crystal formation.

Before Diamondhead could react—

The violet mist crashed directly into him.

"...!"

It didn't strike his crystal body.

It passed...

Straight through it.

Diamondhead froze.

"What...?"

For a single heartbeat...

Nothing happened.

Then—

His entire body stiffened.

The emerald glow within his crystalline frame flickered violently.

The Omnitrix symbol flashed erratically.

Ben's vision blurred.

The crystal arena...

The villagers...

The captains...

Everything around him rapidly faded into darkness.

"..."

"..."

"..."

Silence.

Ben slowly opened his eyes.

He found himself standing in a vast, empty white space.

There was no ground.

No sky.

Only an endless expanse illuminated by a soft silver light.

"...My mind?"

He immediately recognized it.

A few meters away floated something deeply familiar.

His four-leaf grimoire.

Its emerald cover gently hovered in the air, pages turning on their own as mana flowed around it like a calm river.

Then...

A slow clap echoed through the empty space.

Ben turned.

Venomira stood several meters away.

Gone was the overwhelming demonic aura that had shaken the battlefield.

Gone were the waves of murderous mana.

Instead...

She looked almost relaxed.

She casually walked through the white expanse with her hands behind her back, smiling with an expression that was equal parts amused and unabashedly flirtatious.

"So..."

She tilted her head.

"This is what your soul looks like."

She slowly circled Ben, openly studying him.

"No poison."

"No crystals."

"No disguises."

"...Just you."

Ben remained calm.

"You invaded my mind."

Venomira shrugged.

"I did."

"You kept resisting every physical experiment."

"So I decided..."

"...to study something even more interesting."

Her crimson eyes shifted toward the floating grimoire.

"There it is..."

She whispered almost reverently.

"The source of your destiny."

Ben immediately stepped toward it.

"You stay away from my grimoire."

Venomira smiled.

"I wasn't planning to destroy it."

"In fact..."

"I want to see what happens."

Before Ben could stop her...

She extended one finger.

The instant it brushed the cover—

The entire mental world shook violently.

The grimoire trembled.

Its emerald cover began radiating black mana.

The pages fluttered wildly as if caught within a hurricane.

Ben's eyes widened.

"...No."

The four-leaf emblem engraved upon the cover started cracking.

Thin black lines spread across the symbol.

Mana from Venomira flowed toward it like ink poured into clear water.

The white mental world darkened.

Black feathers drifted through the air.

The grimoire pulsed once.

Twice.

Then—

CRACK!

The four-leaf emblem split apart.

Dark mana surged from within the book.

Before Ben's eyes...

A fifth leaf slowly emerged on the clover crest.

The transformation completed.

The once emerald grimoire had become a five-leaf grimoire.

A chilling pressure spread throughout the mental space.

Venomira stared at it in fascination.

"...Beautiful."

She whispered.

"So this..."

"...is what happens when hope and the abyss touch."

Ben remained motionless, his gaze fixed on the transformed grimoire.

He could feel it.

Its mana had changed.

Not disappeared.

Changed.

The familiar presence of his own magic was still there.

But now another current flowed alongside it.

Ancient.

Dark.

Patient.

As if something had awakened and was quietly waiting.

Venomira folded her arms, unable to hide her excitement.

"I wasn't expecting that."

She laughed softly.

"I merely established a spiritual link."

"I never intended to reshape your grimoire."

Her eyes never left the floating book.

"It reacted on its own."

The newly formed five-leaf grimoire hovered silently between them, its pages turning by themselves as black and emerald mana intertwined like two rivers refusing to separate.

For the first time since entering Ben's mind...

Even Venomira's playful expression faded into one of genuine curiosity.

Whatever had just occurred...

It had surprised both of them.

Ben stared at the transformed grimoire in disbelief.

The familiar emerald cover...

The four leaves that had accompanied him since receiving it...

Were gone.

In their place floated a grimoire bearing a five-leaf clover.

Black mana coiled around it like living shadows, intertwining with his own emerald mana without rejecting one another.

His heart skipped a beat.

"...A five-leaf..."

His voice was barely a whisper.

Ben slowly lifted his eyes toward Venomira.

Unlike before...

There was no humor in his expression.

Only a deep frown.

"...You."

Venomira blinked innocently.

"Hm?"

Ben took a step forward.

"What did you do?"

His voice became colder.

"I know what a five-leaf grimoire means."

"In this world..."

"They belong to those who have formed a contract with a devil."

His emerald eyes narrowed.

"You said you merely established a spiritual link."

"But this..."

He pointed toward the transformed grimoire.

"...This isn't merely a link."

His fists slowly clenched.

"You've connected yourself to me."

"...Why?"

Silence.

Ben continued.

"What exactly are you planning?"

"What do you gain from this?"

"Do you intend to possess me?"

"Manipulate me?"

"Use me to enter the human world permanently?"

Each question came sharper than the last.

Venomira simply listened.

Her smile never disappeared.

When Ben finally finished...

She covered her mouth.

Then—

A soft giggle escaped her lips.

"Hehehe..."

The giggle became laughter.

"Hehehehehe..."

Finally...

She laughed openly.

"HAHAHAHAHA!"

Ben's expression darkened further.

"I asked you a question."

Venomira slowly wiped a tear from the corner of one eye.

"My King..."

She smiled warmly.

"You ask far too many questions."

Ben remained silent.

She slowly walked toward him.

Her footsteps made no sound in the endless white world.

Stopping only a few steps away, she leaned forward slightly.

Their eyes met.

For a brief moment...

The playful look disappeared.

A strange gentleness entered her crimson eyes.

"...You'll understand."

She whispered.

"When the time comes."

Ben frowned.

"What does that even mean?"

She didn't answer.

Instead...

She took one final step backward.

Her body gradually dissolved into the same violet smoke as before.

The mist drifted toward the floating five-leaf grimoire.

Ben's eyes widened.

"...Wait."

Venomira smiled one last time.

"Don't look so worried."

Her voice echoed softly throughout the mental space.

"I'm not your enemy..."

The smile widened mischievously.

"...Not today."

Before Ben could say another word—

The violet mist flowed directly into the five-leaf grimoire.

The black-covered book briefly glowed.

The fifth leaf emitted a pulse of dark mana.

Then...

Everything became still.

The grimoire quietly floated in the empty white space once more.

Venomira...

Had disappeared.

"...Venomira!"

Ben called out.

No answer.

Only silence.

The mental world suddenly began collapsing.

The white surroundings shattered like fragile glass.

His consciousness was violently pulled away.

...

...

...

BOOM!!

Diamondhead's emerald eyes snapped open.

The crystal arena rushed back into existence.

The shattered battlefield.

The towering crystal walls.

The distant explosions.

Everything returned in an instant.

He instinctively took a sharp breath.

"...!"

His body moved again.

The strange paralysis that had frozen him moments ago had completely vanished.

He looked down at his crystalline hands.

He could control them normally.

There was no trace of Venomira before him.

Only the lingering sensation of her presence remained somewhere deep within his soul.

Then...

Almost instinctively...

Diamondhead turned his gaze toward where his grimoire would normally manifest.

He didn't summon it.

He simply felt it.

The connection had changed.

Somewhere within his magical core...

A new presence slept in complete silence.

Not speaking.

Not resisting.

Not influencing his thoughts.

Simply...

Waiting.

Diamondhead's expression hardened.

"...What have you done...?"

No answer came.

The crystal arena remained eerily quiet.

Whatever Venomira's true objective had been...

She had left without explaining it.

But one thing was now undeniable.

The battle had changed far more than the battlefield.

Something fundamental within Ben had shifted.

And neither he nor anyone outside the crystal walls had any idea what consequences that single, mysterious bond would bring in the days to come.
