Chapter 1 - Chapter 1

In the room.

Qingming slowly regained consciousness and looked around, confusion filling his eyes.

Where am I?

As soon as the thought surfaced, a flood of fragmented memories surged into his mind.

Ninja… Konoha… Uchiha…

Qingming quickly sorted through the memories. Familiar and unfamiliar words gradually helped him understand his situation.

There was no doubt about it.

He had transmigrated.

According to the memories, the original owner of this body shared the same name—Qingming—and was a member of the Uchiha clan of Konohagakure.

Uchiha Qingming had just turned ten this year and was a fourth-year student at the Ninja Academy.

The reason for the body's "vacancy" was simple.

That afternoon, shortly after school, the original owner received news that his parents had died in battle.

Overwhelmed by grief, his fragile mind collapsed.

And then… he died.

After that, Qingming arrived.

---

However, none of that was the most important issue.

What mattered was this:

This world was the ninja world—and more precisely, the time of the Third Great Ninja War.

One word could describe this era perfectly:

Chaos.

Not only civilians, but even shinobi lived in constant danger. Life was cheap everywhere.

Even within the strongest village, Konohagakure, peace was fragile.

And worse—

He was an Uchiha.

A clan already destined for tragedy in the future.

In other words, he had landed in a leaking boat during a storm… with more holes waiting ahead.

"Ha… I thought dying from overtime work was bad enough," Qingming muttered bitterly. "Turns out I got upgraded difficulty."

Extraordinary power?

He had already checked.

Despite the emotional shock, the original body had not awakened the Sharingan.

That alone spoke volumes about how poor his aptitude was.

As for chakra—

Yes, there was some.

But so what?

In the ninja world, battles ultimately came down to bloodlines. The closer your lineage was to the Sage of Six Paths or Kaguya Ōtsutsuki, the higher your ceiling.

Otherwise, at best, you ended up like Might Guy—brilliant, but burning out in a flash.

Qingming had no intention of becoming a savior.

He understood himself well.

Maybe he had some potential, but it was far too little to carve out a completely different path like Orochimaru.

"If only I had a cheat ability…"

He sighed.

The moment the words left his mouth—

A faint blue translucent panel appeared in his vision.

---

[Status Panel]

Name: Uchiha Qingming

Age: 10

Physical: 5

Mental: 7

Chakra: 60 (125)

Bloodline: Sharingan (Unawakened 51/100)

Skills: None

---

"This is… a system panel?!"

Qingming sat up abruptly. The despair in his expression vanished instantly.

He was not someone who gave up easily. He had simply been overwhelmed by the situation earlier.

But now—

Even if he didn't yet understand how the panel worked, it was still hope.

That alone was enough.

---

He examined the interface carefully.

Name and age were irrelevant.

The important parts were physical and mental attributes.

Physical represented bodily potential—reflexes, strength, endurance, recovery, and neural response.

Mental represented cognitive ability, perception, and spiritual strength.

Ordinary adults typically had values around 3. Anything above that qualified one to become a ninja.

His physical score of 5 was decent for a civilian child, but unimpressive for an Uchiha.

As for mental strength at 7—

That was likely inflated by his reincarnated soul. The original owner probably had around 5.

That would also explain why the Sharingan had not awakened.

Even after the trauma of losing his parents, the awakening process was incomplete.

Which suggested one thing:

This body's talent was genuinely poor.

---

Then Qingming shifted his attention to the skill section.

Empty.

Strange.

He clearly inherited the memories of the original owner, yet none of the expected techniques appeared.

Logically, he should at least know basic ninjutsu like the Three Body Technique.

He could feel chakra flowing through his body, so the memories were not fake.

"Wait… is it because I didn't personally perform them?"

He stood up.

Following his memories, he formed hand seals slowly:

Boar → Dog → Ram

Chakra circulated.

He attempted the Clone Technique.

Nothing happened.

But then—

A change appeared on the panel.

---

Clone Technique: Lv0 (1/100)

---

Qingming's eyes sharpened.

"So it only counts if I actually try it…"

He tried again.

Still failed.

But the number changed.

---

Clone Technique: Lv0 (3/100)

---

"I see…"

His expression gradually calmed.

This was a proficiency-based system.

Then he tested another theory.

He recalled the original body's experience practicing the technique and attempted to replicate it mentally and physically.

A faint puff of chakra smoke appeared—

Then dissipated immediately.

Failure.

But—

---

Clone Technique: Lv0 (6/100)

---

"It really works."

Not only could he gain proficiency through attempts, but also through inherited memory fragments.

That meant something very important:

He could reconstruct everything his previous self had learned at an accelerated rate.

That included combat experience, techniques, and habits.

Even better—

It could help him mask inconsistencies in his behavior.

Because in the ninja world, there were too many methods of interrogation, mind probing, and soul-searching techniques.

If he showed even a small flaw, he could end up under ANBU scrutiny.

Even if the chance was low—

It was never zero.

And in this world, zero mistakes was the only acceptable survival rate.
