—What are you talking about?—
Rachel's POV
My eyes flashed open as if a switch was flipped, however it was shut as soon as I did, a sharp hiss leaving my lips as I squeezed my lids in irritation after I almost got blinded by a very bright light.
"Bitch, you up?" I heard a familiar voice ask as someone shook my right arm a little too roughly. "Rachel? Can you hear me?"
"Loud and clear," I croaked, my frown becoming deeper as I realized how dry my throat was. Trying to move my fingers in a sign, I said a single word. "Water."
"Just a sec," the familiar voice said and I heard shuffling as the hold on my hand disappeared.
Taking up the opportunity, I planted my palms on what I presumed to be a bed and strived to adjust my posture while I slowly unraveled my lids in the hopes of preventing what happened last time.
