The next morning after Sarah went to work Kieran was left alone at home as usual he did his daily quest his body already adjusting to the morning exercise, the bonus rewards he recieved for a 100 push ups and sit ups had reduced to one stats point each and the points for a hundred steps were non existent entirely.
After the routine exercise he had his breakfast did the chores and stepped out of the house his goal was to find out how to enroll into the military academy. He was going to head to the third district the shop where he found out about the academy in the first place.
Walking along the path he directly headed into the third district heading directly for the shop. Upon getting there he pushed open the door and walked in, like the last time he was here he headed towards the counter were the shopkeeper sat with a newspaper his huge stomach dancing about each time he moved.
Seeing Kieran again the man closed his paper folded it and placed it on the counter staring directly at Kieran as he approached him.
" Why are you here? "He asked
" I want to find out how to enroll to the Emperion Hunter Academy " Kieran said getting straight to the point.
" Huh so you want to enroll, you got an ability or something " he asked staring at him with curiosity.
" No I don't, but I am hoping that what they promised is true about them giving the super serum to students with good prospects " Kieran replied shocking the man entirely.
" Look kid you are from district four with no background, no backing l, no abilities your only hope is the serum they promised. I will tell you this don'tdo it You are entering a Hellish hole planning to bury yourself in disdain and contempt, you're still young so you're naive going in there as you are is the same as going on a suicidal mission " the man said staring at Kieran with pity.
" I know and I expect nothing less but I realize now that I want to go I am not going to let the fear of what will happen inside stop me from going. "Kieran replied with determination.
" Haa, fine then if you want to enroll you can go to the district hall every district's hall runs the enrollment programme " the man said picking his news paper back up opening it and continued reading.
" Thank you " Kieran said turning and walking out as he got to the door the man called out again " Kid! Be careful look out for yourself while in there " he said as he continued reading his paper.
After exiting the shop Kieran headed towards the district hall every district had one except the fourth district, It used to have one but after a monster outbreak happened in the area it was destroyed and ever since then it was abandoned no one repaired it the government ignored it and left it like that.
The third district's district hall was located on Oak street. Upon getting there Kieran looked at the building.
The building was a large, classical-style building with stone walls, tall columns, wide steps, and a symmetrical design. It looked official, historic, and serves as a central government facility.
Walking up the stairs he entered the district hall looking around he was surprised by the inside. It was a large spacious room. A large white reception desk sat at the center, staffed with people working at computers. The high, patterned ceiling and wooden frames gave the space a clean, modern, organized atmosphere. Each personnel had what they did and a sign hung above them informing people what personnel handled what, there were those that took care of license registration, official complaints, and a section that handled reports on dungeons opening. Walking along the spacious hall Kieran kept searching for the sign that indicated the enrollment in Emperion Hunter Academy.
" Hello what are you looking for " a voice called out behind Kieran, turning he saw a middle aged man probably in his thirties standing behind him, he wore a white long sleeved shirt and black pants the general outfits of the personnels that worked here as attendants.
" I am looking for where I can register to enroll in the Emperion Hunter Academy, could you point me in the direction of where I should go" " Oh, head down the hall it is the last booth on your left." The man pointed out.
" Thank you " Kieran said following the directions he was just given he found the booth at the ending of the hallway it was a plain white booth if anyone saw it it would just come across as a storage room. Entering into the booth Kieran saw a man sited on a chair with a desk in front of him. Looking up the man stared at Kieran with a curious gaze.
" Are you here to enroll in the Emperion Hunters Academy? " He asked
" Yes I am " Kieran replied sitting down on the chair that faced the man.
