CHAPTER 3 - QUIRK APPREHENSION TEST
"I'll be taking a quirk apprehension test of all of you" Aizawa stated.
The students blinked at Aizawa with confusion until Ochako spoke "But sir, what about the orientation?"
Aizawa grunted "You're going to be heros not jokers. Orientation will not help you but your quirks and abilities. Though the government thinks using quirks in junior school will cause troubles but UA is not like that. It's a free style teaching school so here you can use and groom your quirks like you want".
The teacher paused before looking at Izuku "Midoriya how far you could throw a softball in Junior high?"
"103 metres sensei"
The class gaped at the green haired boy.
"Hey hey, sensei meant without your quirk" A boy with blond hair and black strips scolded Izuku but the ninth weilder shrugged casually telling its his normal range.
"Then throw it with your quirk. I want to see the boy who was recommended by All Might himself" Aizawa threw the ball towards Izuku and told the only rule not to get out from the ring painted in the ground.
While Izuku got into the circle with his softball every other student gaped at the green haired boy to know that he was recommended by the number one pro hero.
"Wait! What do you mean by Deku was recommended by All Might?" Ochako questioned the spiky ponytail girl beside her.
Momo Yaoyorozu replied "You don't know him Uraraka-san? About 11 months ago he defeated a villain by himself to save a friend when the pros stood beside couldn't do anything. Later he also scolded the pros without hesitation and recognized by All Might who was present there. Maybe something also happened after that and that's why All Might took interest on him. I am eager to see what he can do".
Momo's explanation made the others gape at Izuku more while a certain bi-color haired boy with Katsuki looked at Izuku without showing their emotions.
'So he is the one who got All Might's eye. I've to see what he can do' the bi-color haired boy named Shoto Todoroki thought.
Meanwhile Izuku grabbed the ball in his right hand and thought 'Gearshift at 70 mph and life force of 1 hour, now go'. Izuku threw the ball at sixty degree angle.
Aizawa pulled out a device and looked for some seconds before realizing the ball is still going further and further. The teacher looked at Izuku who was also looking at him as he raised his eyebrow saying 'explain'.
"I used my quirk to launch the ball at the velocity of 70 mph for one hour means without any external force it will travel for an hour before stopping at the mark of 70 mile from here" Izuku explained.
"So I can say it will be approximate 70 mile. But your qurik is registered named 'Death' means with a single touch from your left hand means the target will reject all life from it, it can be human or any non-living thing. So how did you do it?" Aizawa questioned.
At the explanation of the quirk the class flinched while the grape headed midget took some steps back before yelling "DON'T COME NEAR ME. I DON'T WANT TO DIE".
Izuku could have been flinched but he was used to this and spending last 10 months with All Might boosted his confidence a lot.
Before anyone could antagonize him or Katsuki could get a chance to speak Izuku explained "It is only the half of my quirk. When I touch their life force transferred into me and that can't be controlled. If I touch with my left hand then you die transfering your life into me. And if I touch you with my right hand then I can give you life means I can bring back any dead person from life with the amount of life force I gave them. I can use the life force to to speed up at any pace, smash with superpower and heal any injuires. Also I can sense any living being around me means I can't be sneaked".
Everyone was stunned, the boy infront of them can kill anyone and bring them back in life in blink of eye. In other words he is terrifying.
Meanwhile Katsuki looked at Izuku with disbelieving eyes realizing what he did back with the sludge villain. He first killed it to take him out then brought back in life. If he can bring people back in life then why didn't he do that with his shitty old man? Since Deku was smart he thought of two options, either he didn't know back then he could do that or, no. Katsuki stopped himself. He had seen Deku from kindergarten, he was always the one who would jump in someone's help. He could never kill someone for himself let aside his old man.
While Katsuki was busy in his thoughts the other students had another thoughts.
"You can seriously bring back dead people into life?" Asked a floating PE dress in a feminine voice. It is Toru Hagakure whose quirk is invisibility.
"As long as there is body I can put life back. It affects how much life force I has and how much life force I gave the body. It also sees the actual age of the person. If I give a 90 years old person 50 years of life force then it will not effect him and the person will explode"
"So that's how you healed my ankle injury" Ochako mused.
Though before Izuku could say anything Tenya came forward "You said you can speed up anything means you were the one who was running at blinding speed at the entrance exam? How much point did you earn with that?"
Izuku couldn't help but laugh sheepishly "Well 96 points".
Katsuki almost fell on his butt hearing that damn Deku scored 96 villain points, 19 points more than him, means he is the first, before him. Not only Deku was recognized by All Might by himself but he also beat him be the first in the entrance exam. What the hell he was doing when he was antagonizing him.
Aizawa clapped his hands to get attention again "You can go home if you just want to chat. I just asked Midoriya about how his quirk works". He stopped for a moment before seeing everyone stopped talking then he continued "Now you know 8 normal tests - 50 meter dash, grip test, standing long jump, sustained side jumps, ball throw, endurance run, seated toe touch and sit ups. Except now you will use your quirks".
"Oh ho, so we can use quirks like we want. It sounds fun" the pink skinned girl named Mina Ashido stated with a grin.
While most of the students agreed with Mina, Shota grunted but soon his disdained face turned into a smirk, a devilish one.
"You say fun? You want spend three years to be a hero for fun?" His smirk has gotten bigger "Then I'll make it funnier. Whoever will come last after the test will be judged as hopeless and will be expelled".
Silence lingered through the students. Then they one by one proceeded what Shota said and half of them freaked out in the fear of expulsion.
"But sensei it's our first day and we might be expelled?" Ochako questioned with slight fear.
"Like I said, UA is a free style school and the teachers can do whatever they think it's appropriate to make students better heros. And Bakugo, you're in my shitlist if you don't know" Shota finished with a glare at Katsuki who flinched sensing danger for some unknown reason.
50 meter dash -
Aizawa called the students by a group of two as the first pair was Momo Yaoyorozu, the most mature looking girl of the class with Eijiro Kirishima, a redhead whom Izuku recognized from the sludge villain incident.
A pair of skaters came out from Momo's skin as she used them to finish in 4.7 seconds while Kirishima ran normally finishing at 7.2 seconds.
'Maybe Kirishima's quirk can't help him with running while Yaoyorozu created things, she has a quirk which can create things?' Izuku deducted.
The next pair was Tenya Iida and a blond boy with a tail named Mashirao Ojiro. Tenya has exhausts coming out from his legs which ignited and he finished in 3.1 seconds while Ojiro did a giant Summersault with the help of his tail to finish it in 5 seconds.
'Iida's quirk is similar to Ingenium's, is he related to him? While Ojiro's tail is quite handy as an extra limb' Izuku deducted again.
The next pair was a shy boy with rock shaped head named Koji Koda and another blond with black stripes on his hair named Denki Kaminari.
Both of them made a Sprint and finished at 7.8 and 6.8 seconds accordingly.
Izuku didn't comment knowing he got no idea about their quirks.
The next pair was Mina Ashido and the boy with weird elbows named Hanta Sero. While Mina's skin secreted some fluid which helped her to slide on it finishing at 4.2 seconds while a tape shot from Hanta's elbows which wrapped around the pole infront of the finish line as he swung on it to cover the distance at the mark of 4.5 sec.
'I think her skin turned pink bcz of the fluid she secrtes but the fluid was colorless means pH matters so I guess she secretes acid while Hanta can launch tapes' Izuku thought.
The next pair was Shoto Todoroki and another blond with a feminine face but actually a boy named Yuga Ayoyama who noted that no one used their quirks creatively so he would do that.
In the end he turned backwards, shooting a laser from his belly to throw him forward, though it stopped at the midway and he had to fire it again to finish at 5.1 seconds while Shoto blasted himself forward with glacier of ice finishing at 3.3 seconds. Later Yuga also claimed that he couldn't use his quirk more than a second or he will get a stomach ache.
'Todoroki is better than anyone alongside Iida but it seems Ayoyama hasn't any grasp over his quirk even after having it for 11 years. Why didn't a body get used to ot after a long time?' Izuku questioned.
'It can happen when the quirk is given to you and you have no control over it. Like One for All. You only didn't have to face any backslash bcz of your own quirk' Yoichi answered and mused if it was All for One. And if it is then they need to be cautious with that boy.
The birdhead Fumikage Tokoyami, the frog girl Tsuyu Asui, Ochako, the round lips Rikido Sato, the earphone jack Kyoka Jiro, the octopus hands Shoji Mezo, the invisible girl Toru Hagakure and the midget Mineru Mineta scored between 5-7 seconds and only Mineta took over 8 seconds to finish. Though Izuku noticed Tsuyu Asui was faster due to her frog like features as she finished in just 4 seconds.
The last pair was Katsuki and Izuku who went to the starting line with Katsuki glaring Izuku trying to murder him with his glare.
'50 meters with 100 mph' Izuku charged gearshift.
"DIE" Katsuki roared and created explosion to carry him faster at the signal but to his surprise Izuku already was there.
Izuku finished at 0.1 second surprising everyone with Katsuki at 3.7 seconds just behind Shoto much to the explosive boy's anger.
Standing Long Jump -
The second test was the shining point for Yuga, Tsuyu and Momo who used their abilities to jump further while Momo cleared the sandbox with help of a spring shoes.
Iida also cleared the sandbox with the speed he generated charging his engine quirk alongside Todoroki who blasted himself with a pillar of ice.
Katsuki and Ochako stopped just a bit behind of the end of sandbox while Koji called a bunch of birds to carry him at the end.
Izuku went last again chagring One for All at 10% to clear the sandbox.
"So Shoto Todoroki is the 2nd recommended student I can guess. Knowing he is Endeavor's son he can be" Momo thought outloud and the students near her couldn't help but acknowledge it.
Grip test -
The strongest in that category was Shoji Mezo who used his multiple arms to get 640 kg and Rokido Sato who gulped down some sugar to get 615 kg until Momo created a clamp to get 700 kgs.
Izuku saw none of other are power types so they didn't score near the top 4. Though he ended up at third with using One for All at 8% to get 630 kgs.
Ball Throw -
Since Izuku had done it and score approxcimate 70 miles he didn't have to do it again while Ochako left no competition with an infinity score much to Izuku's horror.
'Yeah, she can throw anyone to sun or moon wherever she want' he nervously thought.
To his surprise Momo came to third by creating a cannon to score over a mile.
"DIE" Katsuki roared with his catchphrase and blasted the ball to 710 meters.
"Die? Seriously?" Izuku muttered with a sweatdrop and heard a giggle from the earphone jack earlobes girl who seemed to hear him.
Sustained side jumps -
It was time when Mineta did something with his quirk and bounced off easily in them. Though Izuku came in second since he can heal any exhaustion with his quirk and not to mention All Might's hellish teaching.
Endurance run -
This time Momo and Izuku jointly became first as Momo created a scooter while Izuku used One for All at 15% to catch up with her. Mineta was the first one to drop out followed by Toru and Denki.
Seated toe touch -
Tsuyu was found the most flexible one with Mina if Momo didn't have exceptional big assets to hinder her progression further. The boys blushed after seeing the situation but no one commented.
Well except one.
Mineta commented about Momo's chests only to fell forward without responding for 10 seconds while Izuku whistled innocently. When Mineta came back to life Izuku said "If you don't know what happened then you can try again and if not then respect your female classmates".
Mineta will not try to perv on girls in Izuku's presence anymore. The girls did thank him for his actions.
Sit ups -
Izuku blowed up any competition without his quirk by doing over 500 sit ups. That made everyone believe Izuku is not only strong bcz of his quirk but he is physically stronger than almost everyone in the class. Maybe Shoji or Rikido could match Izuku with the help of their quirks.

Momo could have become the 2nd if not for the last two tests, Shoto had to do hard to reach Momo and he beat her with very points. While Ojiro placed in top 10 with the most unflashy but useful quirk in Izuku's words.
Mineta saw the board with horror for expulsion before his eyes settled to Toru's invisible body "Why couldn't you perform a bit worse than me? Now I won't be able to the sexy girls not to mention I can't see your naked body".
Toru yelped in surprise even though they couldn't see it they could feel, as Mineta caused her performence to blame his expulsion.
"What did I say about respecting your classmates?" Mineta shivered as Izuku's voice ghosted on him. "A true hero never make excuses for their defeat" Izuku then turned to Toru who also stated her mind.
"What can I do? My quirk is invisibility so I can't do better than that. I completed the whole test just with my physical abilities without my quirk" Toru retorted almost yelling.
Shota's eye twitched and he made his mind to expel the last one even if he decided not to some time ago. The midget couldn't take his expulsion just bcz he couldn't perv and not to mention he started breaking someone's confidence, he won't stand that.
Before he could say anything Izuku went to console Toru "You did what you could and if someone is blaming you for your rank above than him then it only means you're better than him. Today you are better than one person so try harder for tomorrow so you can be better than today's you. If someone try to hold you back then either ignore them or kick them on their face".
For a moment Izuku thought himself like Katsuki when he said about hitting but he sensed his words helped Toru and suddenly she jumped on Izuku hugging him with many thanks.
And with that, the confidence Izuku gathered left from his body as Toru's chest rubbed on him leaving him in a blushing mess.
Not to mention Izuku's classmates couldn't help but respect the green haired boy.
'I can't help but respect you Midoriya-san with the passion you stood for Hagakure-san' Momo thought.
'That's so manly' Kirishima almost cried at Izuku's manliness.
'I couldn't be more wrong Midoriya-san. No wonder you were recommended by All Might' Tenya thought.
'See Deku-kun, your personality and works determine either you are a hero or a villain not a quirk. Everyone is started to respect you' Ochako thought with a smile.
'This problem kid' Shota thought with a grin 'You saved the day'.
Shota then cleared his throat to get attention "I was bluffing at first about the expulsion part". No one said anything except Mineta who sighed in relief. "Though I think I've enough reasons to expel you now Mineta. We don't need someone with that mentality in hero cource" he also glared at Katsuki for some reason with Mineta turned white again.
"I don't think he was bluffing even at the beginning" Momo casually stated making Mineta nervous as the midget shook in Shota's presence.
"But you can thank Midoriya and his inspiring words Hagakure let go of any depression she felt, you became saved" Aizawa stated Mineta in a dangerous tone while his eyes glow red and his hair floated for some moments.
Though Shota did that to scare Mineta a certain broccoli head widen his eyes "I know that look, yes, you're the underground hero - Eraserhead, Quirk - Erasure, can nullify any emitter type quirks".
Though most of the class didn't recognize Eraserhead, the said hero groaned 'And here goes the privilage of being an underground hero. A kid recognized me with a single glance, a dangerous brain'.
"Ahem, go back to your classroom before changing, you too Mineta and don't push your luck again" with that Aizawa walked away from the class only to meet All Might at the corner with a shit eating grin in Aizawa's words.
"There I thought you will expel young Mineta but it seems you have your eyes on young Midoriya that you chose not to expel anyone" the number one hero said with his giant smile.
All Might was a bit nervous when he saw Aizawa as Izuku's homeroom teacher but when he saw how Izuku stood for Toru and he couldn't be more proud to show Nighteye that Izuku is better than the successor he chose.
"If you don't have anything to do then go and sleep. I dealt with the problem child somehow but I've no mood to deal with a problem adult" Aizawa grunted before walking off.
All Might stood there with his grin 'You are every step with so much pressure in it that everyone has to acknowledge you no matter what. Though be prepared for tomorrow'.
The day passed as Izuku was on his way towards the station until he was greeted by Tenya Iida.
"Let's walk to the station together Midoriya" Tenya offered.
"Why not Iida!" Izuku replied with a smile then he heard another voice calling for him.
"Wait for me Deku! Let's walk together" Ochako caught up with Izuku and noticed Tenya with him "You're Iida, hello".
"Ahh hello! You're the infinity girl"
Ochako choked her breath trying not to laugh loudly as Iida called her with a nickname but she corrected "I'm Ochako Uraraka"
The three new friends walked together sharing their point of view about their first day of UA. Soon they reached the station and got at different trains towards their home.
Izuku found himself at Dagobah municipal beach park at 4 am with All Might in his skeletal form.
Though that form can't be called skeletal anymore since with a proper stomach and lungs he is now eating his heart's content. His weight was 45 kgs when he met Izuku but now its 60 with some muscles.
"Good morning All Might"
"Ah good morning young Midoriya. I saw how you used your quirks yesterday. You're improving but there are something I can teach you now" Toshinori Yagi commented.
"You know how I can create wind pressure waves with a punch to hit my target from distance?"
Izuku thought for a moment trying to figure out the reason and he did it before exclaiming "You swing your arm faster to create a vacuum wave in air. Later it becomes a shockwave to hit the target"
The pro hero nodded with a grin "I'm happy that you're a genious since I'm not good at teaching. Now you can't use One for All at 100% so we will start from 10%"
Izuku muttered "10% is still low to generate moderate wind pressure. It is nearly impossible to to do that with a fist. It's to large generate wind pressure. I need something smaller to do that. A flick, a flick, a flick. Yes, a flick with a finger. It is smaller and it will faster to generate wind pressure"
Yagi nervously chuckled at Izuku knowing his muttering habits won't go but even if he creeps people around him with that he can think easily with calculations to get an answer he want to find.
When he saw Izuku stopped muttering he asked "Did you find a way to do that?" Izuku quickly nodded "Yes, with a fist it's not possible but if I flick a finger then it may happen".
"Well then" All Might stopped him "Put it in work. Just mean you can heal exhaustion and injuries by yourself you won't abuse that ability".
Izuku nodded vigoriously and put his middle finger under his thumb and flicked towards the sea. Izuku stared blankly when the wind pressure generated but it didn't go forward but spread out at the sides.
"Well you can't think you will grasp everything in first try young Midoriya" All Might laughed and adviced Izuku to continue.
It's now 6 : 30 am as Izuku is generating formidble wind shots towards the sea. It will not hurt his enemies but it will disbalance them for sure and if it hits sensual spots then it will sting.
Unknown to Midoriya Izuku and All Might someone is watching them from a distance.
"Isn't it Midoriya, ribbit?" The stalker, it would be rude to give someone stalker title without knowing, so the watcher is Tsuyu Asui who jogging near the area until she saw someone creating wind shots over the sea water. Seeing him closely he recognized the messy green hair as Izuku Midoriya.
"So this is where he trains. With his demonstration yesterday I can guess he is making long range attacks, ribbit" she asked herself and looked over Izuku's training for some minutes.
Though she left quickly with a formidable blush on her face when she saw Izuku took off his T-shirt revealing toned muscular body thinking 'If Yaoyorozu-chan has the most developed girl then Midoriya-chan is the most developed boy alongside Todoroki-chan. Though I think Midoriya-chan exceeds Todoroki-chan by some muscles'.
"Today we will..." Aizawa paused for a moment at the beginning of the 2nd day of class 1-A.
'No, not another expulsion threat' most of the class thought.
"... Introduce yourselves" he finished.
'That's normal so why the expression' the class thought again.
"You will tell your name, your quirk and something about yourself. Just don't wake me up" he then crawled into the sleeping bag snoring.
'Lazy bum' the class deadpanned.
Izuku was having a field day writing down everyone's quirk and what they can do. He now know about Kaminari's quirk electrification and Shoto's half-cold half-hot but he said that he would never use his fire power. But mostly he was fascinated by Fumikage's quirk dark shadow. Though he could call One for All a sentient quirk but Dark Shadow was something else in his mind.
As the day passed he attend Cemetoss' class which was interesting along with Midnight who could be a better teacher when she was not fawning on anything especially Izuku and his muscles.
Izuku was a blushing mess when Midnight came closer to him and he realized the woman wasn't wearing anything under her thin garment covering her breasts.
The teacher also realized that Izuku realized it she smirked pressing herself more on Izuku for a moment before teaching again. Only Hanta, Denki and Mineta glared at Izuku thinking it would be them not that broccoli head.
The lunchtine was also fine when Izuku found that pro hero Lunch Rush was the cook as he sat with Ochako, Tenya and surprisingly Toru.
"Midnight-sensei was really clingy, especially on Deku-kun" Ochako almost frowned at the fact but didn't show that while Toru gave ger voice "Ofc she would, Midoriya has the ripped muscles with a godly body that any girl would see him. Amd then Midnight-sensei is the R-rated heroine".
"Are you feeling well Midoriya?" Tenya voiced his concern since Izuku couldn't get rid of the redness Midnight gave him.
Izuku sluttered slightly "Ahh.. Yes.. It's not a big deal. I just realized something about Midnight-sensei's hero costume and I think it will not be proper to say it infront of girls".
Ochako and Toru raised their eyebrows though the latter's was invisible. "You can tell us Deku-kun. We know you won't try something improper" Ochako replied while Toru hmmed positively after seeing Izuku standing against Mineta yesterday. Tenya also agreed with the girls that Izuku won't think something improper.
"If you say so, Midnight-sensei's clothing material was very thin and when she was pressing on me I realized she wasn't wearing any underwears, it was very uncomfortable" Izuku replied meekly not wanting everyome to hear him.
The three occupants remained silent for some moments until Toru spoke "Well you can expect something like that but if you felt uncomfortable then you could ask her. It would be uncomfortable then you could ask us to say something about that. We could help you"
Izuku was actually surprised that no one called him a pervert but tried to him. Then Tenya also gave his voice "Now you mentioned it, You're socially awkward when you're not excited"
Izuku gulped then sighed, ofc they would realize that at some point so he replied "It's bcz of my quirk. No one used to come closer knowing they could loose their life. Also many people used to see me as a villain bcz with a killing quirk I could never be a hero or the super human society won't accept me. So I had no friends or anyone close except my mom. That's why I'm not used to in crowds".
"I guess it is a possibility that people will judge you quickly but let that aside Midoriya. No one is here who sees you as a villain so feel free and we are here to help you whenever you will need" Tenya replied with a smile. He was actually terrifed when he heard about Izuku's quirk but then he saw what Izuku did infront of him. Everything he did was heroic so he wasn't a villain or he will not be one.
"Iida is right. I told you at the entrance exam" Ochako grinned while Toru nodded agreeing with them.
Izuku was happy, he was happy like the day when All Might recognized him. He now has friends he can rely on to his journey. He is not lonely anymore. He realized it's time to let go of those feelings and become a person like All Might who will make eveyone happy and safe.
Inside of Izuku the golden silhouette of the eighth weilder of One for All is shining so brightly that the other vestiges had to cover their eyes.
"I know you are proud on your successor but please dim down your brightness or I'll be blind" Daigoro shouted while others laughed.
"Though Midoriya I've a favour to ask" Toru asked in a low voice which brought Izuku back to reality. He raised his eyebrow wanting to hear Toru's request.
"You saw my quirk is not for combat but it's good for stealth. I can see you've a good physic so can you help me to build up some physical strength so my punches can hurt" Toru requested.
Izuku realized what Toru wanted, though her quik is suitable for stealth missions she would need to fight if situation needed. A hero need to be versatile so they can help in any situation.
Izuku nodded "I sure can. Come to Dagobah municipal beach park at 6 am. I usually train there so you can also do physical training there and later when we hit the gym my sensei left behind for me".
"Wait! You owns gym" Ohcako exclaimed in an amazed voice.
"Technically no, it's my sensei's but he is busy with his work nowadays so I can use it freely" he didn't lie technically, All Might is the legal owner but he never goes there except Izuku since he bought that for him only. Though he thought how much money All Might owns really.
Toru seemed happy as she replied "Sure. I'll be there from tomorrow morning. I'm fired up to train and get some muscles for me"
"Dagobah beach park is too far from my apartment or I could also go there" Ochako whinned wanting to spend time and train with Izuku.
The lunch ended and class 1-A returned at their classroom waiting for their next teacher who will teach them fundamental heroics study.
Izuku's eyes widen as he felt a certain presence just behind their door and he realized who will be their next teacher.
"HAHAHAHA"
A loud laughter boomed from behind the door as Everyone recognized the voice.
"No way! Is it...?" Almost everyone shouted until the door opened.
"I am.. " revealed All Might clad in his silver age costume with his normal grin "...coming through the door like normal person"
Despite saying that the number one pro entered with a weird pose and his cape somehow floating despite being indoors.
"It is really All Might! He is a teacher here" Kirishima shouted with excitement which supported by many others.
"It's his silver age costume, ribbit" croaked Tsuyu who didn't look at Izuku properly for the day for some reason no one knew.
