"Recently, I talked it over with your dad and we're planning to throw a formal party on your birthday, so that our family and those connected to the Smith Family will officially know your identity."
She paused as she said this, glanced at Helen, and then continued:
"However, we're worried it might bring you unnecessary trouble, so we wanted to get your opinion."
Helen was taken aback for a moment. She's never seen a pig get slaughtered, but she's seen pigs run; what they call a family recognition event in a wealthy family isn't just a simple formality like in an ordinary family.
