He cautiously glanced at his parents, suppressing his inner unease, and continued:
"At the time, I thought the hospital must have made a mistake, so I checked her other blood test results, all showing blood type B."
Evelyn Taylor took several deep breaths, swallowing back her anger.
"So, you helped Olivia conceal her true identity?"
Edward Smith looked at him calmly; his voice was emotionless, but there was a chilling light in his eyes.
Thomas Smith had anticipated that the family would surely shift their anger onto Olivia, which was already worrying him.
Hearing Edward's question, he quickly explained:
"No, Olivia doesn't know. Perhaps she wasn't seriously injured; after simple treatment, she was discharged from the hospital. I kept all those documents."
Thomas indeed wasn't lying.
"I was suspicious at the time, so secretly took Olivia's hair and mine for a DNA test, and found that Olivia and I have no blood relationship."
