Damien had arrived earlier than the rest at the planning room. Apart from Gusto whose head was deep into his map, with light snoring that indicated he had fallen asleep while studying the map, no one was in the room.
Not bothering to wake the man that must have spent the better part of his night preparing for this meeting, Damien took a seat directly opposite him while waiting for the others.
To anyone that came in, he might look as if he was idle, but Damien was deeply lost in thought over what had been happening. .
When they left the palace was war, this wasn't what he had envisioned. He had thought of sword, magic, and deceit. But he never thought they would be dealing with monsters and missing relics.
Damien wasn't a serious student, because he had to pretend he wasn't interested in gaining knowledge when he was younger.
