Aerine stepped forward and walked in the direction of the small house, which even outside showed signs of being overturned. A portion of the roof was destroyed; it was the same with the door and the windows.
It was as though a storm had plunged into the small island. Thinking of it from another perspective, it was true. Although it was worse than a storm.
Dragging Lucian along, they approached the house.
Aerine took a deep breath before she entered the room with Lucian. For a moment, the memory of that night suddenly flashes in her mind, halting her steps.
She felt her heart becoming shaken, and so did her mentality, but the warmth from her hand seemed to continue relaxing her mind, giving her the courage to continue.
And she did.
The inside of the house was much messier; a lot of items were scattered on the floor, some of which were glass shards. Her eyes scanned the whole space; if she remembered it right, the scene she last remembered happened in this exact location.
