[3rd POV]
"...I should have expected that to happen" Ned said with a sigh, as he moved to help his wife get up, who was beginning to groggily get back up with the help of Lucifer and some of her power.
"Yes you should have. But at least she did not hurt herself" Lucifer said with an amused chuckle, while Alice was helping put Sansa back in place, while also feeding the little one that was giggling rather adorably.
Beginning to get up, Catelyn let out a soft groan, as she rubbed her eyes.
"N-Ned? Wh-what happened? I swear that I had seen...something truly impossible" Catelyn said, looking to her husband as he helped her get up and onto her feet.
"Cat, look to your left" Ned said simply. Catelyn looked over slowly, only to stop when she saw the glow around Lucifer remaining, as the woman smiled.
"I do hope you will not faint again, even if it was rather amusing" Lucifer said, as the woman stepped back, her face full of fear and awe and terror.
"N-Ned is-" "It's real, my love. She is real. I know it. She has shown me, she has known things that she could not possibly ever know. And she has power that is beyond what any mortal could ever hope to approach" Ned cut her off with a calm nod, having adapted rather well to the presence of the God of Gods.
Catelyn looked at Lucifer and then back to her husband, and then back again. She was trying to figure out how to go about this. How to react, what she should do.
She knew her husband, she knew he would not lie, not about something like this. Which meant...
'G-Gods this woman is-' Catelyn's thoughts stopped as she began to move to kneel before the woman that she had faithfully followed for her entire life, only to stop when Lucifer began.
"No kneeling, Catelyn. I only allow such things during rituals and similar festivities. But not outside of that. And I don't wish to do that before the children" Lucifer said, giving the flabbergasted Jon and Robb a wink.
The boys looked even more confused.
"But-but you're the Seven! It would be improper!" Catelyn stuttered out, trying to come to terms with the fact that this was her God that she was standing before.
"I am the Seven, but I am also the Old Gods, R'hllor, the Great Other, the Storm God, the Drowned God, and dozens of others. And I am telling you, Catelyn, that you do not need to kneel before me. I had never made such...rules or laws, especially not ones that required others to sacrifice for my worship" Lucifer said, raising a hand to stop the woman.
"Just as she has not made any rules or laws that deem "Bastards" as monstrous creatures. That is a product of humanity, and their own greed and malice" Alice said on the side, a rare serious look on her face.
"Who...who are you, My lady?" Catelyn couldn't help but ask, while inwardly reeling over the information she was being given.
"I am Alice Morningstar, her wife. You can sort of think of her as the "King" the "First" while I am the "Queen" and the "Second". We've been together for...well, longer than humanity has even existed" Alice responded with a small smile, as Catelyn's eyes widened once more.
The two women before her were homosexual.
Her face showed just how shocked she was, before she stuttered out once more "I-I apologize. I was not expecting such...information from you"
"It's quite alright, Catelyn. We do not particularly blame you for your actions, not entirely. As you had been raised to believe that bastards are evil, that homosexuality was sin, that women must work in the kitchen and raise the children. All of which are evidently lies at this point" Lucifer responded, waving off her concern.
It was hard to blame her when she had been lied to her entire life. And she had never actually physically harmed Jon, just bullied him. Which was awful, yes, but it was built on lies and misunderstandings.
Lucifer would be punishing her should she continue though. But Lucifer could sense from the woman's emotions that she would never do that. She could tell that Catelyn truly felt awful, and a bit terrified.
She believed she was going to get punished.
"And it is not us that you must apologize to, Catelyn. It is Jon Stark here that deserves that apology" Alice said calmly, giving the boy a warm smile.
They knew that it was best not to tell Jon about his true parentage just yet, as he was young. And him being young meant that he might not be the best at covering up the truth, and keeping his true name a secret.
And there were spies literally everywhere, Lucifer and Alice knew that much. They had both noticed several spies around Winterfell, including the "Little Birds" of the Spider. Neither of them were particularly fond of that man, with the way he manipulated said little birds, and the way he used them.
It was creepy as shit.
Jon looked around in complete confusion, his young mind still trying to come to terms with what was happening, as Catelyn looked at Alice and then over to Jon. Tears began to well up in her eyes, as she realized that she had been bullying a four year old child based on lies and deceit.
She prayed to the Gods-God above to forgive her, as she got to her feet once more and walked over to Jon, who looked at her, only for his eyes to widen as he felt himself get wrapped into a tight and warm hug from the women.
"I-I am so sorry child! I am sorry for what I have done! For how I have treated you!" Catelyn said, tears streaking from her eyes as she held the boy that she had been treating so horribly for years now.
And the boy couldn't help but still slightly at the warmth, before beginning to move closer into the hug, as tears of his own began to spill.
"It-It's okay...I forgive you" Jon whispered, as more tears fell from Catelyn's eyes as she hugged the boy, as she hugged...her son.
He would be her son.
Just as much as Robb and Sansa. She would treat him as one of her own, as her second son.
She swore it to Lucifer in her mind, she swore it to all her aspects, that she would not mistreat the boy any longer. That she would learn and move past her ignorance, and become better.
And that she would start to become a true Lady of the North. And perhaps...just perhaps, start to follow the Old Gods aspect of Lucifer instead.
Lucifer and Alice watched this in silence, before small smiles formed on their faces.
"I'm glad you understand now, Catelyn. It'll take a while to redeem yourself in my eyes...but this is absolutely a start" Lucifer said, pleased with the woman's actions as Alice agreed.
"Mmhmm, just a matter of time before you become truly redeemed. But Luci, I think there is another thing we need to do. As Catelyn isn't the only one that is falling for the lies built into religion of the Seven" Alice said, as Lucifer looked over at her wife before humming.
"That is true my love...I suppose I'll need to fix that then, huh?" Lucifer said, as Catelyn and the others began to turn to look at her in awe as she began to glow a brilliant golden color, well, except for Alice.
At the same time, around Westeros in parts where the Seven was worshipped, the books that held the traditions, laws, decrees, and others began to glow a golden color similar to her own. On top of that, the statues made in her forms began to glow, as well as the Trees of the Old gods.
Around Westeros the worshippers of the Old Gods, the Seven, and the Drowned began to watch in awe as their statues and monuments to the Gods began to brilliantly glow. As upon the statues of the Seven, inscriptions began to flow, words condemning the actions of the followers.
New decrees, new laws, new tradition.
"Blame not the child born out of wedlock, but they who brought them into the world"
That was just one of the new "Rules". There was others, some more descriptive, some less. But all of them were different, and were for the betterment of Westeros. And it wasn't just Westeros either.
Every religion that she was the "God" of around the World began to have their very rules changed, their makeup. The Ironborn was given a book detailing the truth of what the Drowned God was, showing that the Drowned God and the Storm God were in fact, the same entity.
The books detailed that one was not to steal and pillage from the innocent, but from the evil, from the cruel. Steal from slavers, from rapists, from murderers, from bigots. Not from innocent merchants trying to live.
And it expressly stated that all beings born of the Seas and Lands deserve the right to freedom. None should be locked in the chains of steel and iron. But be free to explore the land and sea of the greater world.
The final true thing she did was place curses upon those that abused their positions. The head of the Faith of the Seven screeched in pain as the words "Rapist" glowed on his forehead, and his...bits began to shrivel and die. Similar fates befell thousands of others, as the truly faithful watched in awe as those that were evil and awful were punished.
While those that were innocent or were in the "Grey area" were untouched. And they had noticed more than anything, that not a single innocent had been harmed, and not a single person that did not worship any of her aspects had been either.
They had the right to not worship, and to follow their own beliefs.
All the while Lucifer saw the horror and the awe and the confusion and the pandemonium this was causing, she had a smile on her face, and spoke to the Starks in front of her.
"So...wanna finish dinner?"
