Zinnia looked straight through him, at the west.
Alex stayed crouched in front of her for a few seconds, feeling stupid.
He had sort of expected something. He hadn't expected a hug, because Zinnia wasn't a hugger. He'd thought she might punch him in the arm, or say "My god, man, you stink of bear."
'Okay. Fine. We do it the hard way.'
