I balanced the plate of steak and potatoes with boiled greens on the tray I was holding while three shepherd dogs crowded around me to follow me to Nerissa's room.
They were all wagging their tails and crowding around my legs that were floating just an inch above the ground, continuously rubbing their sides against me.
I stopped in front of the door and let my feet touch the ground, giving the dog I placed there to watch the door a pat on the head which made her give me a happy bark.
I then turned towards the door and pressed on the console panel to the side which would give the occupant a buzz to let them know that I was outside.
I waited patiently for an answer but when no answer came, I tapped on the console again.
Of course, I was totally not expecting her to open the door at all, given how she knew there were dogs that would quite literally shred her to pieces if I asked them to that were just sitting outside the door.
This ringing thing was just me messing with her.
