Yuki grabbed everything she needed, some blankets, a piece of rope, a big tarp and some metal clips that could be used to make a large bag out of the tarp so it would fit the whole body even if it was not in pieces. Which she all conveniently had on hold for no particular reason.
"Well, anyways, I have everything I need, I think… Could I ask of you to help me with the transportation, pretty please?"
"All under control, huh..."
"I do have it under control! However, I am but a humble young maiden. Are you going to let me carry a big bag alone all over the campus?"
"Of course not."
Yuki was overjoyed receiving his help, what a romantic moment they would share carrying unconscious Jack out of his room together, she thought. Back at his room, they placed the tarp on the ground and rolled Jack onto it. After making sure he was not bleeding again, so nothing would drip through the tarp, they filled it with blankets so it would not have the form of a human, but rather just be a natural round-ish shape.
To their surprise however, Jack suddenly woke up and jumped up.
"What the fuck?! W-where am I…? And what is…"
"Jack, thank goodness! You just faded! Are you feeling better?"
Yamato immediately tried to calm him down, though as expected it had little effect. Before he could react or understand the situation, Yuki casted another sleep spell onto him. But it did not work. Jack, understanding her intention, was about to cast something that looked like attack magic, but Yuki was not having any of it and broke his hand in the next moment. She quickly summoned a knife with which she stabbed his arm. Even if only a scratch, it resulted in Jack falling unconscious immediately.
"Phew…"
Just as she was about to take a breath, a knock on the door.
"Hello? Yamato? I heard noises and it sounded like someone fell onto the ground? Is everything okay?"
Arina must have come back in search of Yamato, since she could not find him anywhere else, thinking he would be back by now.
"Urgh, fuck me, is everything against us today?!"
"I'm coming in now…"
"Ah, no! Stay outside!"
"Yuki? What are you doing in there? Are you snooping around again? Is Yamato there too? I'm tired of waiting! You gave me this sword with strange powers but won't explain them, it's unfair!"
Yuki looked over to Yamato, expecting some sort of instruction. He seemed to be busy checking on Jack. She did leave out the fact that she had a poisoned knife, so his concern was justified. After all, should he wake up again, they would be in serious trouble. So maybe it was better this way. Time to improvise, she thought.
"Can't it wait until tomorrow…?"
"Why though!?"
"Because… Uh… We are naked!"
"…"
"Like, super naked. So… You can't come in!"
"I'm… Just going to leave now… Excuse me…"
She walked off in embarrassment, probably not leaving her room for the rest of the day. Yamato was already in the middle of moving Jacks body back onto the tarp, waiting for Yuki to help with closing it.
"That was close, Master."
"So it was. Give me the clips."
She handed him the clips while holding the tarp up so he could close it.
"Are you not going to praise my performance?"
"Your improvisation was great, how lucky I am to have you…"
"Mhm! That's right, I love you too!"
"It's getting dark, that will help us moving it undetected. Which would be where?"
"I know just the place! Just leave it to me~"
After waiting for it to turn completely dark outside, they climbed out the window with the rope and tarp with Jack inside.
"Couldn't you have just used magic to move him?"
"Magic is traceable, Master. Especially at night, some night owl might be up reading and then sense someone using magic. Naturally they would go check it out, and see us! Even if they can't identify what we are doing, if would be suspicious nonetheless."
"That's true… Good thinking."
"Unsolicited praise! He must be so proud of me for this!"
They moved from the boys dorms over to the backside of the girls dorms. It was unlikely that they had been seen with all the lights out, as you also confirmed no one to be around either.
"Alright, Master, you can leave the rest to me. For real, this time!"
"If you say so… Report to me tomorrow though."
"No problem. Ah, but what are you saying? You are staying at my room tonight~! With me! There's still blood and stuff in yours, after all. I still have to clean that and get the rope off the window, which I can only do when I am finished here. And that will take a while. Since you need your sleep, it's the only way!"
"Ah, you're right… I guess that would be better… I would not want to bother you while you clean up."
"You would never bother me! But I cannot be at ease knowing you to be in a contaminated environment!"
"That seems a bit dramatic, but whatever… Well, I will be off then."
"See you later~"
As Yamato went back to Yuki's room, he wondered where she would take Jack and what she would do to him. But he decided that it was pointless to think about it, as she would tell him proudly all about it tomorrow anyway. Besides, he was confident in her ability to resolve the situation mostly by herself. This was another very stressful day. Tired as he was, it did not take long for him to fall asleep right as he set foot into her room. Dropping onto the bed identical to his, plain and comfortable with a wooden frame and soft pillows. He had been wondering if every students room would be identical, which they seemed to be. However maybe class 1 students would have improved rooms, to serve as motivation to reach or defend the position of class 1. Maybe they would find out after winning the next competitive exam and becoming class 1 themselves, or not. He did not wake up throughout the night, but did in the morning with Yuki clinging onto him as usual. However this time he could not even blame her, as it was her bed. Not that she would act differently if it was his. Even if she looked as though she was asleep, her grip was much too firm for that. Even Yamato would have trouble releasing himself from her grip using force right now, even though it did not hurt, it prevented him from getting up.
"Morning, Master…"
"Yuki, do you mind?"
"A bit… Did you know your heart rate is about 30% slower when you're sleeping? Yours is pretty consistently around 60 bpm… Isn't it awesome how through simple touch one is able to tell if the other is awake or not? Feeling it slowly rise as you wake up... It's so romantic. As if you are only seen by me, and the only one you feel is me…"
As she slowly let go of him, he could not help but notice that her last sentence was somewhat emphasized. She remained very close to him as he sat up.
"So, what did you do?"
"I made breakfast for you!"
"Ah… Thanks, I guess… The school provides that, but I'm guessing I am required to eat yours instead. But what I meant was about yesterday."
She grabbed a plate which she had prepared on a desk next to the bed and fed him, which he, slightly reluctantly, played along with.
"Operation Bye-Bye."
"…Come again?"
"Operation-ByeBye!"
"…Is that supposed to mean something to me?"
"Mhm~ You'll see! I simply asked myself, what would my wonderful, glorious and perfect Master do, which naturally resulted in only brilliant ideas!"
"I am glad to serve as your muse… But you didn't answer my question at all."
"I was getting to it! So y'know how Jessica is also still a problem?"
"I was going to take care of her, but by the sounds of it, that won't be necessary…"
"You're welcome! And I am happy to report that Operation Bye-Bye was a huge success!"
"Would you just tell me what it is?"
"Even better, I will show you! Come with me, Master~"
After making sure he ate everything on the plate, she pulled him outside of the room downstairs.
"Oh, and shhh! It'd be bad if someone spotted us now. And maybe don't look happy or excited…"
"That sounds bad…"
"Oh, it's nothing!"
After going downstairs, there was a room completely in locked down. Guarded by two people that seemed to be in some kind of military position. Although Yamato studied everyday about this world, the latest events have made that increasingly difficult and he had been focusing on historical events and figures due to his interest in the prophecy. So he was not that educated when it came to current day military yet, but he could tell that something was very wrong here nonetheless.
He stopped Yuki and pulled her around a corner.
"Okay, enough. Tell me."
"Ah… So aggressive~ A dream come true! But alright, I didn't think it would be closed off already. That's my bad, showing you won't work then… In that case, let's get back to my room. I will tell you every detail, I promise!"
"Alright…"
Back at her room, she sat down next to him as she began to report her actions of last night.
After Yamato had left, she peeked through a window on the first floor, which was the window of none other than Jessica, whose room she had previously located thanks to her stalking session. Already asleep, Jessica had no idea what was about to happen next. Yuki gently opened the window, picking the lock with ease, as she was a true professional at invading people's privacy, always prepared for the case of a door separating her from Yamato. She created an anti-sound field, which essentially froze the air in time so sound waves would not be able to travel through it. Since she was in Jessica's room now, it would be alright to use magic since even if someone noticed, it would be assumed to be Jessica's doing. Pulling the bag through the window and dropping it on the ground was therefore much easier now and she unraveled Jack on the ground. After making sure Jessica was still sound asleep, she proceeded to use a knife from Jessica's kitchen to stab him to death in a brutal, frantic manner. Stabbing all over his chest, stomach, arms and legs. Blood spilled everywhere, but she covered herself in a small barrier that prevented any to get on her. She then dipped her finger in the blood, and drew a sad smiley face on a mirror above her desk. She then left the room, but not before adjusting Jessica's alarm clock, which she also placed on said desk. Once she was back in her own room, she snuggled up to Yamato and turned off the anti-sound barrier in Jessica's room. Just in time for the alarm clock to go off, nearly perfectly timed. Jessica jumped out of her bed, confused as to why her alarm clock had gone off already, as it was still dark. Still not fully awake, she barely saw anything as she moved her feet off the bed, feeling a cold liquid around them as she touched the ground. Thinking it was just water or something, she ignored it for now and first turned off the alarm clock. However her blissful ignorance evaporated as she lit a candle on her desk with magic, and she saw that she was standing in. Jack's blood, and next to her, his crippled body. In a sate of absolute shock and disbelief, paired with her just having woken up, she did not make the slightest move or sound. Only when she saw the sad face on the mirror, which overlapped perfectly with hers from her perspective, did she take a step back, pressing herself against the door, but not daring to open it. What would be behind it? More horror? A way out? She was too scared to open it. Too scared to move. Too scared to even breathe, yet she was hyperventilating and shaking, as she squeezed herself into a corner and did nothing but pray, although it was hard for her to actually picture salvation or rescue of any kind. Was it Yuki, she wondered. If she did that, what does she expect from me, why not kill me like she killed him, she wondered further. Of course she had no way of knowing that Yamato had prohibited Yuki from killing anyone but Jack. As her paranoia was growing by the second, she saw a red spot on the corner of her bed sheets, and heard something dropping down onto the floor from that same direction. She had not heard it earlier, however now that there was nothing but drowning silence it was so loud that there was no way she could not notice it. A liquid, dripping with single, heavy drops. She hesitantly crawled forward, trying to identify despite her internally peaking dread. Under her pillow, was the knife she could only assume was used to do this gruesome act. She hastily rushed toward it, holding onto it tightly while pressing the end of the hilt against her chest as she went back into her corner. Even though she could use high level magic, she did not feel safe. Having this knife felt somewhat reassuring, like the thing that hurt Jack would not hurt her because she had it. She had it. The thing that killed him. As she thought about that, she started to cry. She cried silently, scared of all that could make a sound. She did not ask to be part of any of this. Even though she chose to fight against Yuki, she never thought it would be like this. If she had known, she would have just let it go. She did not even like Satoshi. Yet, for his sake, all this happened? Why? It was unfair. But fairness was never a factor, and she began to realize that. She wanted to scream, but no sound would come out. Not because of any magic preventing it, but because she physically could not make a sound. Even though she did not know if Yuki had actually been here, it felt as though her presence was still lingering in this room watching her at this very moment. After about ten minutes of silence and quivering, which felt like an eternity, she calmed down. Not because she felt better. How could she? No, it was because she began to see the way out. The way to release herself from this situation and responsibility, an escape. Everything about this was truly horrible, and she would never recover. She was not that kind of person. She never was, nor would be. It was the very reason why she fought for justice for Satoshi, even though she did not like him. And because she knew she would never recover, she realized she would have to live with how she was feeling at that moment for the rest of her life. Unless not… It was then that she took the knife, and stabbed herself to death.
