Alex felt annoyed by Emily's answer.
He knew she would not tell him more, so he decided to let it go for now.
He turned his focus back to the crystal on the house and wondered what made it react like that.
After thinking for a while, he chose another building for his next test.
"You should wait here with Olivia, just in case she needs your help," he said.
Emily nodded. She did not feel worried, since Petricia and Zargath had already checked the area near them.
She turned her gaze to the city around them.
"What a big city. If every building can glow like this, it will make a beautiful view," she said.
She could see that whoever designed the city had cared about aesthetics, even though everything used square shapes.
Some buildings were taller than the others. The tallest one she saw reached around 18 meters, about 59 feet.
If every building glowed, she felt the city would turn into a beautiful pattern of lights.
It would be even better if the lights had different colors.
