While Emily tried to understand what kind of civilization had lived here, Alex focused on the crystal.
He used his hammer to smash one of the chairs apart. Then he took the pieces and started to experiment.
He first tried to recall what had happened when they entered the building.
"When I first arrived, I was falling in the building. Is it because of that?
Does the crystal absorb kinetic energy?" he thought.
He quickly shook his head. That did not make sense.
If that were true, the people who lived here would have needed to hit the house every day just to make it glow.
From his observation, the crystal gave out a steady light.
It was bright enough to see clearly but not strong enough to hurt normal eyes.
Since he did not know what kind of species had lived here, Alex used humans as a reference.
