One song after another, Valentine Teller sang almost all the children's songs she knew.
The child's parents didn't show up, but sleepiness did.
Valentine Teller cradled the child in her arms, and soon she fell into a deep sleep.
Looking at the innocent sleeping face of the child, Valentine whispered, "She's asleep, what should we do? Keep waiting?"
Turstin Muller thought for a moment and said softly, "Let's go to the police station first."
"Okay." Valentine nodded.
The two of them arrived at the police station, explained how they found the child, and filled out a report.
Technically, they could leave after handing the child over to the police, but the child was sleeping so sweetly in Valentine's arms that she was reluctant to let go.
