Chapter 1957 - Chapter 1960: Nothing Happened

Most of the time, his attitude towards her was one of indulgence; love had never come.

Even though he had once treated her tenderly, he never said "love," this simple word, just a short note, had never once been uttered from his sensual lips.

Things understood long ago, came to mind today, inevitably bringing sadness.

Even if he didn't love her, she was willing to stay by his side for a lifetime and become the most important woman to his life force.

A wife more often represents familial ties; even if love exists, it might be eclipsed by life's trivialities. Only familial bonds are the most everlasting emotions.

She had been striving, cultivating familial feelings if she couldn't cultivate love.

But now, she didn't need to work so hard, she could completely let go.

At dawn, she began her busy day in the kitchen, making soy milk, frying eggs and ham, slicing cucumbers, making her favorite sandwich.
