"How did he..." Madison Barton was stunned.
Faced with the woman he deeply loved, Mark Reed did nothing. Did he really not want to?
She walked into the living room; he had already washed up and was coming downstairs, looking refreshed.
"Mark..."
She called him softly, still somewhat in disbelief that nothing had happened last night.
"I'm hungry, let's have breakfast first."
Implying there's more to talk about after breakfast.
Mark Reed smiled and sat at the dining table, Madison Barton immediately served sandwiches and hot soy milk.
His soy milk was unsweetened, just a large cup of the original flavor.
Mark Reed quickly finished two sandwiches and drank the soy milk, the napkin was already handed to him.
He smiled at Madison Barton sitting respectfully beside him, took the napkin to wipe his mouth, and glanced as Valentine Teller came out of the guest room.
