The majority of their district was rebuilt now, and what wasn't rebuilt was largely vacant, as there were a number of buildings with no residents, so they hadn't been prioritized.
That didn't mean that the work was nearly done.
No, they only had the bare minimums on them, none of the defensive wards that had been placed on the buildings in the past. Those would be done on a larger scale for general defence, and then purchased individually by the occupants of various units.
That was how it had been done before, and nobody saw a reason not to do it that way again.
Everyone had lost during the attack, so it was up to the survivors to rebuild their own lives with their own abilities. For many, this would be a good opportunity.
They were getting a new residence with a blank slate to do what they wanted, and not a legacy of inherited changes to the buildings.
Except for the Elders, that was.
