"Karna!!" Cana shouted in delight as she watched Karna returning to the battlefield. Seeing the leisurely way he was moving through the capital, she knew he had won against Ankhseram without using any drastic measures.
Karna easily caught her as she hugged him tightly.
"It's over," Karna voiced their current status when it came to the war with Ankhseram, thereby closing the chapter on the greatest threat that Earthland was supposed to face.
Cana smiled wildly in response while tightening her hold on him.
At the same time, Karna checked his surroundings and found out that there was absolutely nothing left of the capital after the battle against the dragons.
It was entirely filled with rubble and dead dragon bodies.
Karna could already imagine the rise in the number of Dragon Slayer Lacrimas and dragon-based weapons in the future. But he decided not to think about it for now. Dealing with those matters should be left to the council members, and he was not planning on becoming one of them ever.
"Was the battle so violent that it caused this much destruction?" Karna commented as he looked at the rubble spread for miles across, being the only remains that proved that there was once a bustling city in the region.
"Well... most of it happened because Natsu, Gajeel, and the others lost control over their powers for a little bit," Cana replied while speaking in a slightly hushed tone. If the people found out that most of the destruction was caused by Fairy Tail members rather than the dragons, it would not do well for the guild's image.
Karna nodded and then went to the tent where the Fairy Tail members were resting after their battle.
There he found Ultear sleeping in a makeshift bed, and he decided not to disturb her for now. His senses had found that she had heavily drained her ethernano reserves, and considering the fact that she battled hundreds of dragons with the others, a little bit of rest was the least she deserved.
He then went to Makarov and reported to him about what happened to Mavis after the battle. Makarov sighed slightly as he heard how she had decided to pass on.
"It is for the best, I suppose. Do not fret, my boy, as it was her wish. My only regret is that I never managed to say goodbye to her before she left," Makarov muttered with a tired sigh.
Karna then went to Anna Heartfilia, from whom he learned about what she did to the other ninety-nine thousand dragons that Ankhseram had pulled from the past. After learning about the spatial coordinates, he transported himself into the dimension in which those dragons were trapped.
After reaching the dimension and seeing all the dragons trapped within it, Karna decided to move on to a peaceful path first.
Since the dragons in the entire world were extinct save for a few, he gave all the dragons a choice to peacefully coexist with humans or have themselves settle in a distant land without the influence of any humanoid creatures.
As long as they chose one of these options, Karna would use his influence to make sure that their food needs were taken care of, along with making sure that they were not disturbed by humans again unless they wanted to interact with each other.
Almost half of the dragons agreed with this deal, as most of them had chosen to come to the future to escape from the clutches of Acnologia and the falling level of ethernano centuries ago. They also consisted of those who had an amicable relationship with humans, along with those who never really harmed any humans and were content to live in regions with no human population at all, and so agreed immediately the moment Karna presented the deal.
The rest immediately rejected him and threatened to tear him into pieces unless he let them to escape from this trapped dimension.
Let's just say the massacre was not pretty.
The body Karna was currently using was created using the creation module that separated Karna's body into two. One for the living world and one for undergoing ascension in the Death God's Realm. Even though he had not wanted to upgrade his own body, the body he created had copied the specifications of the body that was currently present within the Death Realm. At the moment it had copied the specifications, the death aspect's modifications had already pushed the abilities of Karna's body by at least ten times.
So basically, the body currently being used by Karna was ten times stronger than the body he used to battle Ankhseram in the Death Realm.
The following battle with the dragons resulted in the death of more than forty thousand dragons within two hours and the rest completely surrendering to Karna's conditions.
Karna then went back to Earthland to find a cluster of islands which was far away from human civilization and could house these dragons.
Then he used the creation module once more and created a large-sized FLDSMDFR to take care of their food needs.
'Did I just find a way to cure world hunger? You know what, let's not take this to civilization. The chances of it stopping developments in the future are very high,' he decided after watching it create massive amounts of food in a matter of seconds.
Then Karna went back to Isgar to deal with the aftermath of the Dragon King War. The main problem was the removal of the thousand dead dragon bodies before they started spreading any kind of disease that might mess up the world.
Fun fact, Karna had collected the bodies of all the dragons he had killed within the other dimension. He placed them inside an inventory he created while looking at the mountains of dead bodies.
'Huh, I can give these to any new reincarnators or any who are currently going through their own troubles. Looks like I'm going to be the uncle who gets them the coolest gifts,' he thought to himself on a happy note.
A/N- Hope you like it.
