The next few hours were nice and relaxing. No stress, no drama. It was exactly what I needed after all those months of war.
That was until Hailey suddenly fell asleep on my shoulder. I wasn't surprised. It was her first time doing a substance and she had done quite a bit of it. Seeing her in that state, I turned to Elaine and spoke.
"I should take her to her room so she can properly rest."
"I see..." Elaine paused for a moment. "Will you be coming back here afterwards?"
I shook my head. "No, while I had a great day today. I want to spend some time with Orchid before the party tomorrow as I know she will not attend unless I drag her to it."
"Ah... I see. Well I shall see you tomorrow then, Apollo. It has been a fun afternoon."
"Likewise Elaine." I said, picking up Hailey in a princess carry before chuckling to myself.
"What's funny?" She asked.
