[Isis' POV]
The temple of Isis was much quieter than on usual days.
The death of the King who represented the joy of Isis was no more, and the lack of happiness in the temple indicated it.
Usually, the temple would be filled with prayers, offerings, and the voices of people seeking blessings from their Goddess.
....Today, there was barely any sound.
Isis sat at the highest point of the temple, staring at the statue of Osiris standing in front of her.
His expression was the same as always, the kind and gentle look on his face made her heart bleed.
Her hands slowly tightened around the edge of her throne.
'...Why?'
She had asked herself that question countless times since his death.
Why did Amun-Ra kill him and take away the one person who had stayed beside her for thousands of years?
'...Why did he make me choose?'
Isis still remembered the words that left his mouth.
"Become an Outer Goddess and bring him back."
