Back at the apartment, Lin Runjie opened the door and went in, finding his parents had already gone to rest. He had especially left a light on for them.
"Shh, keep it down, don't wake up Mom and Dad!"
Tan Yanli took off her shoes and put on slippers, and handed a pair to Lin Runjie as well.
"Thanks!"
He took off his shoes, put on the slippers, and walked over to Tan Yanli, suddenly picking her up. She whispered, "What are you doing? You scared me!"
"You got me slippers, so I'll carry you to the bedroom!"
Lin Runjie laughed, lowering his head to try and kiss her. She quickly put her hand over his face and whispered, "No way, if Mom and Dad come out, it'll be so embarrassing!"
She couldn't muster the courage to show affection with Lin Runjie in front of her in-laws. It was too mortifying for her.
"Alright, then let's go back to the room!"
Lin Runjie took a few big steps into the bedroom, kicked the door shut with his foot, and pressed her onto the bed with an entwining kiss.
