Chapter 243 - Chapter 236:Mandarin Island Temu version of Jessie and James!!!

The sun was beginning to set over Mikan Island, casting a warm orange glow across the calm sea as Ash and his team made their way back to the Pokémon Center after their victory against Cissy.

The first Orange League Gym Badge the Coral-Eye Badge now rested safely in Ash's badge case, a small but meaningful symbol of their progress in the Orange Archipelago.

Ash felt a quiet sense of accomplishment as they walked. The battle had been challenging and fun, and Cissy had been a gracious opponent. His team had performed well, and Lapras had shown great potential in her first official Gym battle.

Once inside the Pokémon Center, the familiar red roof and bright lights offered a comforting welcome. Nurse Joy greeted them with her usual cheerful smile.

"Congratulations on your victory! How can I help you today?"

Ash handed over his Poké Balls with a grateful nod. "We'd like to rest our Pokémon and maybe stay the night if there's room."

Nurse Joy nodded. "Of course! They'll be fully healed in no time. The guest rooms are available feel free to use the lounge and the video phones while you wait."

The group settled into the comfortable lounge area. Ash found a quiet corner couch and mentally called up his system to check the chain mission progress.

[Ding!] Orange League Gym Challenge Chain Mission — 4

Mikan Gym Challenge — Status: Finished

Reward: Pending (to be granted upon completion of the full chain)

Ash smiled softly. He was happy to see the first step completed. The chain mission promised suitable rewards for each Gym, and he was looking forward to seeing what the system would give him once the full set of four Shell Badges was collected.

While he was reviewing the notification, exhaustion from the day's events finally caught up with him. He leaned back on the couch and closed his eyes for a moment, intending only to rest briefly.

He didn't realize he had fallen asleep until he felt warmth surrounding him.

Ash slowly opened his eyes in the dim light of the guest room. He was lying on the large bed, and three familiar figures were cuddling him tightly.

On his right was Misty, her red hair splayed across his chest, one arm draped over his waist as she hugged him like a stuffed teddy bear. On his left was Sabrina, her dark hair tickling his shoulder, her body pressed close with quiet affection. Over his abs was Daisy, her head resting comfortably on his stomach, arms wrapped around him as if she never wanted to let go.

Ash's heart swelled with warmth. He smiled softly and gently pulled all three of them even closer, wrapping his arms around them. The girls stirred slightly but only snuggled deeper, their breathing steady and peaceful.

He stayed like that for a long while, simply enjoying the moment the quiet love, the trust, the family they had built together.

Next Morning – Preparing for the Next Leg

The next morning dawned bright and clear. The group gathered in the Pokémon Center's dining area for breakfast, which Nurse Joy had kindly prepared. The mood was relaxed but energized they were ready for the next adventures through the Orange Islands.

Ash looked at his team with a determined smile. "After breakfast, we'll head out. Lapras and Shiny Gyarados will be our main transportation today. They both enjoyed the sea yesterday, so they should be happy to carry us."

Misty nodded eagerly. "Lapras looked so majestic after her evolution. I'm excited to ride with her again."

Sabrina smiled softly. "It will be a peaceful journey."

Daisy, with her confident big-sister energy, added, "Make sure everyone stays safe on the water. We'll keep an eye on each other."

Giselle, still in her maid outfit, gave a small nod. "I'll… do my best to help."

Tracey was already sketching the breakfast scene, his pencil moving quickly. "This is going to be another great day for drawings!"

After a hearty meal, Ash released Lapras and Shiny Gyarados near the beach. The majestic Ice Empress Lapras floated gracefully in the shallow water, her crystalline crown sparkling in the sunlight. Shiny Gyarados swam beside her, his red scales gleaming like rubies.

Ash suggested, "Tracey, why don't you ride with Shiny Gyarados? He's strong and steady. The rest of us will ride with Lapras she can comfortably carry five people now that she's evolved."

Tracey's eyes sparkled with excitement. "Really? I get to ride the Shiny Gyarados again? This is amazing! I don't know how you have so many rare Pokémon, Ash!"

Gyarados gave a low, reassuring rumble, clearly okay with carrying the young watcher.

Lapras lowered herself slightly so the girls and Ash could climb onto her broad back. Ash sat at the front, guiding her gently. Misty, Sabrina, and Daisy settled behind him, while Giselle sat near the back, still getting used to the arrangement.

As the journey through the water started, the girls began to enjoy the cool breeze of the sea. The ride became a common, everyday part of their life together peaceful, refreshing, and full of quiet joy.

But Ash decided to add some fun. He took on the role of captain, standing tall on Lapras's back with a playful grin.

"Captain calling! Maid Giselle, did you see any land ahead?" Ash yelled with character, his voice carrying over the waves.

Giselle gave him a what-now kind of face, but played along with a small sigh. "Aye aye, Captain. We are still far from the land."

Ash then turned with an amused grin and called out to Daisy. "Yo, musician Daisy! Start to sing and make the journey entertaining!"

Daisy grinned back, fully embracing her big-sister role with playful energy. "Aye aye, Captain!"

She began to sing a cheerful, upbeat song. Her voice was clear and warm, filling the air with joy. Pikachu, Eevee, and Togepi immediately joined in, humming and singing along. Lapras and Gyarados added their own melodic cries and deep rumbles, harmonizing beautifully. Ash, Misty, Sabrina, Giselle, and Tracey provided the chorus, their voices blending together.

The ride became even more lively laughter, singing, and the sound of waves creating a perfect atmosphere. The sea seemed to sparkle brighter, and the journey felt like a celebration rather than just travel.

After some time, Tracey spotted land in the distance and called out excitedly, "Captain Ash, I saw the land! I think we are near Mandarin Island!"

At that moment, both Ash and Sabrina felt it a powerful psychic disturbance enveloping the island. It was strong, almost oppressive, like a heavy fog over the mind.

Ash immediately signaled Sabrina. "Sabrina, spot the source of the psychic interference. I'll block the psychic power from attacking our Pokémon."

Sabrina nodded, her violet eyes glowing as she focused.

Misty asked, concern in her voice, "Why did you ask Rina sister to check the psychic interference?"

Ash explained to everyone calmly but seriously. "The psychic interference on the island is so large it may affect our Pokémon once we enter the city premises. We need to be prepared."

Tracey, with a wary smile, asked, "So, what's our first line of action once we reach Mandarin Island, Ash?"

"First, we will assess the overall situation on the island and what's happening. Then we will inform Officer Jenny to collaborate for an investigation with us once Sabrina is sure about the effect on the Pokémon due to the psychic interference."

As they reached Mandarin Island, Ash placed a protective psychic barrier around Pikachu, Eevee, and Togepi. The group then headed into the city.

They quickly noticed something was wrong. Pokémon were behaving oddly becoming aggressive against their own trainers, and several Pokémon had gone missing. The locals looked worried and confused.

After assessing the situation, Ash and the gang went to look for Officer Jenny. She was searching for the disappeared Pokémon with the help of her Gastly, since psychic attacks were ineffective against Ghost-type Pokémon.

They teamed up, and with Sabrina's help, they located the area where the psychic waves were being sent via a parabolic antenna to control the Pokémon.

Ash and Sabrina used their combined power to blast their way into the hidden area. There, they came face to face with two new Team Rocket goons Cassidy and Bouch.

"It's Butch! Not Bouch!" he yelled at the Ash and gang.

The two revealed their grand plan: controlling all the Pokémon using the device along with Hypno. But Ash and Sabrina simply looked toward Hypno, who was connected to the device, and dismantled it with their power.

They easily captured Cassidy and Bitch.

"It's Butch! Not Bitch!" Butch yelled as he was escorted by Officer Jenny to the police station.

The town people gathered around, thanking Ash and the gang profusely for saving their Pokémon and stopping the threat.

After the adventure on Mandarin Island came to an end, the group stood together, feeling a sense of accomplishment.

Ash smiled at his team. "Good work, everyone. Let's get some rest and continue our journey tomorrow."

The Orange Islands were proving to be full of challenges but also full of growth, friendship, and new bonds.
