Damion-"You need our help?"
Prince Magnus-"That's what I said, and I'm not repeating it"
Joe-"You're supposed to be more polite when asking for help"
Prince Magnus-"I'm not being nice to your group's errand boy"
Joe-"What do you mean errand boy?"
Prince Magnus-"Well you're the weak one aren't you?"
Joe-"I vote that we don't help him"
Damion-"Agreed"
Marigold-"We should hear what he has to say"
Damion-"He kept me locked in a dungeon"
Adam-"I think we shouldn't have healed him to begin with or at least have only healed him enough to talk"
Elise-"I agree with Marigold, we should listen to him"
Joe-"Why?"
Elise-"Did you not see the shape he was in, we need to find out what did that to him"
Damion-"He probably just picked a fight with Julius and lost"
Prince Magnus-"How dare you?"
Joe-"Who unironically says 'How dare you'?"
Prince Magnus-"A prince or have you forgotten that? Since when were you all this bold? You think you can just mock royalty to their face?"
Adam-"I'm not sure how we're mocking you"
Prince Magnus-"You literally... you know what, never mind"
Damion-"You don't need a favor anymore?"
Prince Magnus-"No I- I'm saying never mind to the argument. I... ugh... I do still need your help, specifically Julius's help. Who I've noticed is absent"
Elise-"Why Julius?"
Prince Magnus-"Because he's my rival and unlike you all is actually powerful"
Adam-"Your rival? Since when?"
Damion-"You called Julius an insignificant speck before"
Prince Magnus-"Silence! I'm going to tell you the favor and what happened! And none of you will interrupt me again! Do you understand?"
Marigold-"Please, this is dragging on"
Damion-"Fine"
Prince Magnus-"Thank you, God. Ahem, so myself, Abigail, and Theodore, had left the Kaiju Archipelago about a month ago"
A flashback begins.
Prince Magnus, the barrier knight Abigail, and the feline beastfolk Theodore, had stepped out of the exit portal that lead to the Kaiju Archipelago.
Abigail-"Finally done with that place"
Theodore-"I feel stronger now though"
Prince Magnus-"I had to let you two kill some of the monsters, you are my most elite guard after all"
Abigail and Theodore-"Thank you for the opportunity my lord"
Prince Magnus-"My power has grown quite considerably... and yet"
A bright yellow aura emanates from Prince Magnus like a fire.
Prince Magnus-"I still couldn't defeat that glowing speck!"
Abigail-"You didn't loose sir"
Theodore-"Yes my lord, you had him on the ropes"
Prince Magnus-"Another draw! Why is it always a draw. The first time I would have won if Atlas didn't intervene, but this time even with no interference I still couldn't crush him. It's clear that he's gotten stronger, but so have I!"
Abigail-"My lord you need not concern yourself with that speck. He may be powerful, but he doesn't compare to you in elegance and influence"
Prince Magnus-"That's true, but it can't go on like this"
Prince Magnus has a smile on his face.
Prince Magnus-"I've figured it out, I'll simply claim that speck Julius as my rival"
Theodore-"Sir?"
Prince Magnus-"Think about it, it's humiliating for me to draw with a worthless speck. But drawing with my destined rival, it's perfectly reasonable"
Abigail and Theodore stand stunned for a moment before responding.
Abigail and Theodore-"Brilliant my lord"
Prince Magnus-"I know, I know. Now that that's covered. I suppose we should head back to my Illumis kingdom now, after all there should be a portal to it around here"
The view of the scene extends revealing that this whole conversation has taken place within the guild hall with dozens of people around them. Many of which are watching the three of them in confusion.
Theodore-"Actually sir, since we're here. I was wondering if I could visit my grandparents in Yiltama"
Prince Magnus-"That uncivilized island? Fine, you have permission to travel there with one week before you must return"
Theodore-"Thank you sir"
Abigail-"Be safe, tell your grandparents I said hello"
Theodore-"I will"
Abigail and Theodore hug and share a kiss, Prince Magnus rolls his eyes.
Prince Magnus-"Let's hurry on knight, I'm sure my father is eagerly awaiting my return"
Abigail-"Yes my lord"
Abigail and Theodore share one more hug before they walk off in different directions with Theodore going to the Yiltama portal while Abigail and Magnus go to the Illumis kingdom portal.
Ten days later.
Prince Magnus is lying with regal robes on top of his large bed with golden framing. There's a knock on his door.
Prince Magnus-"Who is it?"
Abigail-"It's Abigail, my lord"
Prince Magnus-"Come in"
Abigail walks into his room.
Abigail-"You feeling alright sir?"
Prince Magnus-"Yes, just enjoying the soft mattress and silk sheets. I missed these while we were on those islands. What do you want?"
Abigail-"It's about Theodore"
Prince Magnus-"Oh yeah, he was supposed to be here days ago, my patience is wearing thin I gave him one week"
Abigail-"I'm getting worried, it's not like him to be late"
Prince Magnus-"I would think not, considering he has a teleportation skill and all"
Abigail-"My lord, may I travel to Yiltama to try to find him"
Prince Magnus groans before standing up.
Prince Magnus-"I'm coming too"
Abigail-"Sir?"
Prince Magnus-"That fool has kept me waiting, I'll have to scold him as soon as possible"
Abigail-"Please sir, I'm certain he didn't-"
Prince Magnus-"Silence, you'll accompany me to Yiltama, it's not like I had anything else to do today"
Abigail-"...Yes sir"
