"Whew~ Now that was a lot of smoke." I muttered with a satisfied sigh as I felt the small oceans worth of liquid in my body.
The refined bits fell to the ground loudly along with myself but I totally ignored that small detail as I focused on the sheer weight the liquid had within me. I wasn't too surprised that I got so much as I barely refined much of the giant in truth as I simply only needed a small amount of it's stuff. The skull alone was the size of a mansion and I had the teeth in it and some of the leg bones as well.-
As for the hide I just kept the part that was stretched over the skull which was still an unreasonably large amount that would definitely last me quite some time indeed. The liver was slightly larger than the skull itself and had a deep red almost purple coloration to it. The amount of smoke I received being so much greater than the amount I got from the Knuckelavee despite being roughly equivalent in power was simply to do with the sheer size of the beast.-
The larger a monster was the more smoke it gave as a rule since the smoke that made up of it's body was naturally greater because of the size. I was very interested in seeing how high my stats jumped once I got back to Hestia for another update. Before I could do any of that though I had to create a way to hold all this stuff because my loot bag did NOT have nearly enough room.
'No time like the present to make a better bag.' I thought as I got off the ground and walked over to the hide covered skull.
Reaching out I used my technique to remove a small area of hide and bone that I refined and molded into the shape of a loot sack with a turn of my wrist. This time I wove the bone throughout the hide in hair thin strands connected into a hexagon lattice structure giving the bag exceptional stability. After that I set the incomplete bag to the side and called out.
"Hey can you get rid of all this fog? I need to find a monster for it's stone so I can pack all this away!" I said and the miles of fog cleared up almost immediately as a dull colored magic stone rattled to my feet.
I just shrugged at this since it worked for me and grabbed the stone. With a flex of my cursed energy I drained the stone of mana that was vented out of my arm immediately afterwards. I then refined the shitty goblin stone until it was acceptable, barely, for what I needed it. I filled it with cursed energy and turned it into thread that was then woven into the lattice for a nice even coverage.-
'As the nihilist on his death dead says, here goes nothing.' I thought with a chuckle as I took the normal loot sack technique design and exploded it.
Immediately it was like the world held it's breath but there was a warmth that seemed to relax it coming from my cursed energy as the technique shifted and adapted under my will. Soon enough I was left with a shining mote of black and silver light like a small black hole between my palms that I pushed gently into the unfinished bag. The bag shook violently as the technique settled and black cursed script crawled across the surface of the bag until it settled leaving me holding a small bag no bigger than an apple.-
"What is that? For a moment it felt as though I was gazing upon absolute destruction and then nothing." Ochiru asked as she walked up.
"That was space being compressed and folded to an extreme degree. It felt like destruction because if I hadn't carefully controlled it and it got loose that is precisely what it would have caused. You, I and likely about fifty or sixty miles of space in all directions from here would have spontaneously ceased to exist, erased instantly." I explained with a smile.
"Such as high risk for just a simple bag?" she said confused.
I scoffed "There's nothing simple about this bag. Whether it is the materials or the technique used to craft it you'll find no second person on this planet who could replicate them. Besides I didn't do all that just to make a fancy but ordinary bag, this thing has exactly two thousand meters squared worth of space within it. Additionally it shrinks the things being placed within so they can fit through the mouth, observe." I said pointing the mouth of the bag at the skull covered in hide.
An intense suction force came from the bag and the skull and hide stretched and shrank as they were pulled into the bag until they were completely gone. Even that massive object took up only a fraction of the space in the bag as the bag had over a mile of space in it. Excessive? Absolutely! But totally necessary as well since there was a slight problem with diving the dungeon, distance. The further down you go the bigger the floors get and the longer it takes to cross them and go further down.-
This was also why the Loki familia expeditions took so long normally. Not just because of their battles along the way. But because of the sheer distance they had to travel. Some scholars theorized that based off the increase in size per floor that at around the eightieth floor the area it covered was half the continent. That was assuming the dungeon even went that deep as nobody had even gone to the bottom and thus there was no telling. The deepest recorded floor is seventy one as once reached by the Zeus and Hera familias.
