The reason this has anything to do with the bag is that in order to truly explore that deep in the dungeon you needed ample resources. An amount of resources in fact that took up a great deal of space. I could solve the issue of water with my rings which believe me drops the amount drastically but food, materials for spot repairs, potions of the healing, antidote and mana varieties and THEN room for material collection as you go. Calling it a nightmare to deal with would not be an exaggeration at all.-
The Loki familia has to literally start preparing for their next expedition the moment they return from their last due to how harsh the management of space and resources is. This had eased up considerably after I sold them some water rings but the rest of those resources still made things hard on them. Personally I had an advantage here in that I could refine the flesh of the monsters to give me meat in the dungeon and I don't need antidotes or healing potions with my cursed technique and RCT. My biggest trouble is the vegetables and mana potions I'd need to bring taking up the space I'd use to grab materials normally.-
Unless I wanted to carry like twelve loot sacks on me I needed a storage device with a lot of room, which I now had. Anyways I collected the rest of my loot from the giant and turned to leave. Ochiru bowed to me deeply as I did.
"Fair weathers, Hero Alex." she said respectfully and I just chuckled.
The trip back to the city was smooth and easy with no surprise guests along the way. The guard saw me approach and directly waved me through past the line in to the city. Perks of being famous and powerful I suppose. The city bustled about normally as I strolled right down the streets and to the foot of Babel. The guild was nice and busy when I entered and walked past the counters towards Mardeel's office. The fat elf looked confused when I walked in.-
"I wasn't informed lord Ouranos summoned you?" he said with a deep frown.
"He didn't. I just got back from the dealing with the task he gave me and have a delivery for him." I said casually.
"Be that as it may without word from the lord himself I can not allow you past." he said firmly.
I casually walked up to the fat elf and looked him right in the eyes with a smile as I unleashed my bloodlust.
"And who's going to stop me? You? No, I don't think so. Don't reach for things beyond you Mardeel and especially don't stand in my way. It's bad for your health." I said calmly before walking right past his desk and into the passage leading to Ouranos as the elf tried not to piss himself.
The god himself was sitting on his throne conversing with Fels when I walked into the chamber. They both stopped and stared at me in surprise and I strolled in casually.
"I take it the Hundred hands Giant is dead then?" Ouranos said as Fels cloaked themselves so I couldn't physically see them.
"Yep, went out nasty too. See the dumb thing first crushed me with a palm and then had the audacity to swallow me without checking if I was actually dead first. Turns out I caused it a rather lethal case of indigestion and brain freeze. Oh right as promised your souvenir!" I said smiling as I pulled the massive organ out of my bag covering the entire chambers floor with it.
"No idea what you wanted with it but my jobs done!" I said cheerfully before leaving without letting him reject the "gift".
(3rd person POV Ouranos's chamber)
Fels uncloaked and looked at the massive liver filling the floorspace before looking at Ouranos himself who looked genuinely caught between exasperation and amusement, an astonishing sight given his usually impassive expression.
"He's consistent in his defiance of the normal order of things if nothing else." Fels said with a hint of humor at the situation.
Ouranos sighed "Indeed though I will not deny this is a situation I could have avoided with a measure more tact. Have Mardeel bring in some workers to section up this liver and transport it to the various alchemists in the city. Perhaps something wonderful may come of this unwanted gift in the end that way. For now leave Alex alone and try and find a proper way to repay our debt to him, he has earned it many times over." Ouranos said before closing his eyes.
(Normal POV)
My act of pettiness fulfilled I was in a great mood as I headed home. I even stopped by the Hostess on the way to the manor to let Freya know I was back.
"Please tell me you haven't totally lost it? You are grinning way too much." She said concerned.
"Oh no nothing like that. Just in a good mood is all. Killed the giant, got plenty of good loot, made a delivery and now I get to go home and get a nice update that will probably put me within striking distance of level six. Well if I was a normal adventurer that is. " I said cheerfully.
"That's .... something I suppose. You didn't ACTUALLY bring the liver to Ouranos though right?" she asked concerned and my grin just grew.
"i'm sure he'll appreciate the gift." I said with a cackle.
She shuddered at the thought "Good thing I try not to get on your bad side." she said seriously.
"Bah, I don't have a bad side. Perks of being able to shapeshift. Symmetry is my bitch." I said with a laugh.
