The moment Leviathan released its beams, a beautiful darkness overwhelmed the skies, creating illusory lights that lit the sky. Radiant bursts of purple and black flashed as Asmodeus and his Demon Knights did their best to deflect the destruction.
"Shit!"
Asmodeus cleaved the sky with a violent arc, Axiom rending and deflecting several of the radiant beams as he hovered in front of the two mega weapons, desperate to keep them unharmed.
'This thing....'
His eyes traced the molten surface of the cliff; dozens of lives vanished with the first barrage, and then... once it broke through the barriers, it tore chunks from the defensive fixtures and the cliff's face itself.
"Asmodeus!" Velvet hovered a few metres away, her beautiful dragonscale wings flapping in the storm skies. "It's too dangerous; we can't just rely on these weapons!"

He could see it in her eyes; Velvet wanted to fight.
