The barrier reacted immediately to Strax's mana.
Thousands of bluish symbols appeared before his hand, spreading across the enormous transparent surface. Some rotated slowly, while others remained motionless, forming patterns he couldn't fully recognize.
Strax observed the phenomenon with interest.
"Hm... So that's how it works," he murmured, reducing the amount of mana circulating through his fingers.
The structure didn't seem particularly hostile. At least, not at that moment. Its primary purpose was to prevent anything from passing through without authorization, which was perfectly understandable considering how many dangerous creatures might exist at that depth.
However, there was a problem.
The mana circulating within the barrier was unstable.
Strax could detect small fluctuations in the symbols. Some sections were receiving too much energy, while others seemed to be functioning with an insufficient amount.
