Chapter 4609: Sis, Go With Him
Lin Mohan's decision left Purple Star Sovereign unable to object; whether she succeeded or not, it was an accident in Calamity Sovereign's grand scheme.
Ever since learning Calamity Sovereign's true intentions as he turned his former companions into pawns Lin Mohan harbored resentment.
Purple Star Sovereign understood Lin Mohan's temperament, and Lin Moyu's personality too, so she wasn't surprised by the decision.
She said nothing more, knowing any words were useless.
Lin Moyu turned to Purple Star Sovereign: "Please continue looking after my eight wives for me. Their injuries still need some time to heal fully."
Purple Star Sovereign frowned and did not agree, but Lin Moyu didn't care whether she accepted or not; she had no choice now. If she dared refuse, she knew the consequences.
Before leaving, Lin Moyu suddenly added, "By the way, the passage back to the Ancient Wilds has been sealed by me. Once I return, I'll reopen it."
He had used formations to block the way back; in Chaos Ancient Wilds, Purple Star Sovereign could break any formation in no time, but here, Lin Moyu's formations could hold her for at least a year or more.
Purple Star Sovereign's expression worsened Lin Moyu had never trusted her, having calculated everything in advance.
But truthfully, she herself had considered similar things before.
Lin Moyu, still uneasy, sent a stream of runes onto Ning Yiyi and the others.
That way, if they showed any abnormal changes, he'd sense it immediately.
He didn't care what Purple Star Sovereign thought; here, his strength ruled all must obey.
"Let's go, Sis. Take the gamble."
Lin Moyu flew from the Divine Lotus, heading into the distance, and Lin Mohan followed on her sword.
The two quickly traveled far, leaving the Divine Lotus out of sight.
Away from others, Lin Mohan asked, "Now tell me honestly what are the odds? If it's too dangerous, I won't do it."
Lin Moyu chuckled, "Success."
Lin Mohan was startled. She knew Lin Moyu: when he said "ninety percent," it was as good as done.
He had purposely understated the odds before, just to keep Purple Star Sovereign from joining in.
She understood, and had gone along with his act.
Lin Mohan asked, "So what's the method?"
Lin Moyu explained, "Back then, the supreme of Divine Lotus Realm, the Lotus Sovereign, didn't actually die. His consciousness scattered among all the monsters in this world; as those monsters are killed, his consciousness re forms."
Lin Mohan was amazed. "He's still alive?"
Lin Moyu nodded. "Yes, nearly complete. If I'd come a few centuries later, he would have succeeded, then chosen someone among you to possess and enter the Ancient Wilds."
"If that happened, there'd be a terrifying existence in the Ancient Wilds, one whose impact on the world would be unpredictable."
Lin Moyu grasped the seriousness if such a thing occurred, the results would be beyond forecasting.
He continued, "Luckily he hasn't succeeded yet, so we can use his gathered consciousness. That consciousness is superb nourishment; combined with primordial qi, it could let you break through the Sovereign realm."
Lin Mohan pondered; what Lin Moyu described was beyond anything she'd understood.
Lin Moyu went on, "Do you know how Calamity Sovereign broke into the Sovereign realm?"
Lin Mohan snorted, "How would I know? If you do, hurry up and say."
Lin Moyu replied, "He obtained a Time Essence Stone and split it in four. Drawing from historical time, he found one of his past selves. First, this tricked the Dao and all of you into thinking he'd died."
"Second, he fused with his past self and, with primordial qi, broke through to Sovereign. But at the time, the great catastrophe hadn't arrived, so he couldn't become a Supreme yet."
"When you break through here, you'll reach the same level as him; when the catastrophe comes, you might become Supreme."
Lin Mohan asked, "So that's how don't you want to be Supreme, Little Yu?"
Lin Moyu shook his head, "I do, but I have my own path. Becoming Supreme isn't the only way."
Lin Mohan realized, Lin Moyu's path was unlike anyone else's: "Destiny Sovereign said once in his fate calculations that you're different. But to break through, I need primordial qi; the crystals I acquired here probably aren't enough."
Lin Moyu replied, "Those crystals are too murky, useless; throw them away. I have primordial qi, you don't need to worry."
Lin Mohan remembered Lin Moyu had been to the deepest Ancient Wilds; she assumed he got his primordial qi there and didn't ask further.
She could never imagine that Lin Moyu owned another world, with primordial qi as abundant as he wanted far purer and greater than anything Calamity Sovereign risked his life for.
Their speed was quick; in a blink, they traveled a million miles, sensing huge numbers of monsters approaching from afar.
Chaos Gem warned, "If you don't have to kill, then don't it might be just enough for that guy."
Lin Moyu understood, and agreed it was wise to be cautious.
"Don't attack, Sis. Let the monsters be for now."
Lin Moyu summoned a legion of undead servants to keep the monsters at bay.
They weren't especially strong, but with numbers and tough bodies, they could stall the monsters.
Wave after wave of monsters charged; Lin Moyu deployed undead servants to block them, so the battlefield was busy but no monsters died.
The undead corralled them but didn't kill.
With little intelligence, the monsters attacked blindly; they were easy to handle.
After flying tens of millions of miles, they finally saw a great lake.
The lake was enormous, surrounded by endless monsters.
At its center, a rainbow lotus was in full bloom, with a glowing mist revolving above it. Inside the mist swirled the purest soul power.
In the center of the mist, a delicate, unopened lotus bud floated.
Lin Mohan had never visited this place; she'd stayed near the Divine Lotus.
Most beings here posed a fatal threat to her.
Lin Moyu produced a huge ball of primordial qi more than a thousand strands, exceeding ten thousand wisps.
Lin Mohan was startled, "So much!"
Years of hunting monsters had not yielded enough to refine even one strand, yet Lin Moyu easily produced thousands.
This primordial qi was incredibly pure.
Lin Moyu said, "Good thing the consciousness hasn't recovered yet; Sis, absorb it without worry. Leave the rest to me."
Lin Mohan accepted the primordial qi, smiling brightly: "Thank you, Little Yu!"
Lin Moyu grinned, "No need for that let's begin!"
With a thought, a vast army of undead swept out.
The peaceful lake erupted with chaos, monsters roused and charging in from all sides even inside the lake, swarms of monsters surged forth.
Lin Moyu wielded the Calamity Scepter, flying ahead. "Sis, your little brother will help you attain the Dao!"
