Chapter 4686 - Chapter 4685: Trying to Open the Door

Chapter 4685: Trying to Open the Door

The blood colored divine dragon crashed into the portal, dispersing into a surging blood mist and merging back into the blood sea.

The portal remained completely motionless, no change at all not even the faintest tremor.

Its solidity was far beyond imagination.

But this was just the beginning. The Arctic Supreme kept bringing out more and more blood energy from his gourd, forming an ever mightier blood sea, filled with uncountable wailing remnants like a hell on earth.

Even Wine Venerable, who was no stranger to death, knit his brows tightly.

He took a large swig of wine, "This method… is against the harmony of heaven."

Lin Moyu shook his head, "What is the harmony of heaven?"

Wine Venerable was momentarily stumped, unable to really explain 'against heaven's harmony' was simply a saying, after all.

Lin Moyu chuckled, "Under the rules of heaven and earth, all creatures have their fates. When it's time to die, no one can rescue them. It's like those who wanted to kill me but just got themselves killed.

These people were already dead Arctic Supreme is just making use of their remains, but he didn't personally slaughter them. Strictly speaking, it's not really against heaven's will."

Wine Venerable replied, "But the dead ought to disperse back into heaven and earth their strength came from the world, and after death should return to it."

Lin Moyu said, "They will return eventually. It's just a question of sooner or later. The world has its limits so long as that's not exceeded, at most there's a minor warning and not much more.

Unless you're like me breaking the fundamentals and taunting the world."

Lin Moyu spoke of becoming the world's enemy as if it were nothing, and in truth, not just anyone could gain that title.

Wine Venerable, looking at the growing blood sea, drank even more quickly and said with a touch of drunkenness, "Will he make it?"

Lin Moyu shook his head, "Nineteen out of twenty it won't work. This portal isn't for him to open."

This door leads to the Worldwall, a place once reserved for Supremes; even they could only linger near the boundary, never entering the interior.

Not even Breaking Heaven Sovereign succeeded there.

For Supremes, entering the interior of the Worldwall is as hard as surviving a life forbidden zone.

Between Supremes and Venerables is an insurmountable gulf; aside from the rightful key, only a Supreme can open this portal.

Arctic Supreme is neither and doesn't have the key it's almost impossible for him to succeed.

Within the blood sea, again appeared divine blood dragons not just one, but hundreds and thousands.

Arctic Supreme pointed at the door, and blood dragons, roaring with harsh dragon cries, crashed at the door.

Dragons struck the portal again and again, making deafening booms, but the portal did not budge an inch.

Arctic Supreme continued to pour strength into the blood sea; the blood dragons grew fiercer, and his gourd was nearly empty of blood and souls.

Frost spread from him, sheathing the blood dragons in icy armor.

Even so, the dragons could not move the portal.

Wine Venerable murmured, "How many countless souls and lives have they collected…"

Not even Arctic Supreme himself could answer that too many to count, gathered from every battlefield.

Yet no matter how many, the essence had not changed; without a breakthrough in the quality of strength, the portal could never break.

After watching a while, Wine Venerable saw Arctic Supreme would never succeed.

He decided he wouldn't wait any longer and was about to move and settle old scores.

Lin Moyu said suddenly, "Wait, Senior someone's coming."

Wine Venerable was a bit surprised he sensed nothing.

But Lin Moyu's brow glimmered with sacred light, using the Primal Technique to watch the doorway no sign of opening, the Arctic Supreme's efforts totally failed.

As Lin Moyu watched Arctic Supreme, something interesting appeared.

Lin Moyu projected his voice toward the distant left: "Senior Jin, since you are here, why not show yourself?"

A few moments later, laughter rang from the far off void, "Lin, you even noticed me you're full of surprises."

His voice drew everyone's attention.

"There really is someone!" Wine Venerable was startled, now realizing he could not see through Lin Moyu at all.

Lin Moyu only smiled quietly.

The void twisted, and a colossal insect ten thousand meters long emerged.

Jin Supreme stood atop its back, a faint smile on his old face and sharp eyes surveying the scene, "This portal truly isn't easy to open."

Lin Moyu smiled, "Congratulations, Senior Jin, on your freedom. You're here to try to open this portal, too?"

Jin Supreme chuckled, "Very little in this world interests me this is one thing."

He addressed Arctic Supreme, "Old Bei, if you can't do it, let me try."

Arctic Supreme, still trying, only grunted, "Let me finish first, then you can go."

He was polite enough; after all, both were Supremes and wouldn't offend each other lightly.

"Fine!" Jin Supreme showed patience and agreed.

Then he turned to Lin Moyu, "How did you wind up the enemy of heaven and earth? In this catastrophe, Lin, you're bound to be everyone's target."

Lin Moyu laughed, "So, do you intend to kill me?"

Jin Supreme roared with laughter, "Never would I bite the hand that freed me."

Lin Moyu had released him from the insect stele, earning him a great favor Jin Supreme had no intention of harming him.

Lin Moyu said, "Thank you, Senior. Now you're free again, but doesn't walking around so openly risk attracting his attention?"

Jin Supreme, once Jinri Divine Sovereign, was the mortal enemy of "Dao" if Dao found out, he would certainly attack in person.

Jin Supreme seemed unfazed, "He doesn't dare touch me."

Oh?

Lin Moyu was curious Jin Supreme, no matter how strong, was only a Venerable. Compared to "Dao" and the like, he was no match.

If "Dao" wanted to kill him, it would only take a bit more trouble. Even now, with the three way standoff, killing one Jin Supreme would not change much for "Dao."

But Jin Supreme was full of confidence, obviously harboring some secret trump card.

Lin Moyu did not pry further asking more would only dig up Jin Supreme's secrets, and he doubted he'd get a real answer, anyway.

Arctic Supreme kept trying, the blood sea growing weaker and most of the collected blood and souls nearly spent.

But the portal still did not move at all.

Arctic Supreme sighed, dispersed the blood sea, and said, "I can't do it, your turn."

Jin Supreme laughed, "Legend says no one can open this door; I refuse to believe it and will try right now!"

He pointed, and in the void appeared a massive stone stele.

Jin Supreme had fully refined the Insect Stele, carrying it everywhere, and it was now his foundation.

The stele glimmered, mysterious runes shining, and several giant insects flew out toward the portal.
