Next day everything went as usual except no trace of Liu Wen at Juan's school coming back home I thought for a while and called an old friend.
"Hello Chu Bai do you have any good hotel suggestions I can stay at in Hunan?"
"Hunan! Why are you going there now "he said.
"Just doing some buisness, buying properties" I said. "I want the hotel to pick me up at the airport, can it be done?" I asked.
"Hahaa! Everything will be ready before you reach there brother Lin, when are you going there?" he asked laughing back.
"Today itself" I said and waited for his reply. "Okk, I'll make that possible" he said.
"Thank you" I said and hung up the call. After ending the call I booked an airplane ticket to Hunan with my phone.
I told Shiyun and Ling'er about my departure and asked Ling'er to pick up Juan from school today. I took my car to Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport and parked my car there.
All pre-departure procedures went smoothly and I got onto the plane without any trouble.
Arriving Changsha Huanghua International Airport in Hunan was a whirlwind of unfamiliarity and purpose. As I stepped off the plane, a driver was already waiting for me with a sign bearing my name. Chu Bai had arranged everything meticulously.
The drive to the Kempinski Hotel gave me a chance to take in the new surroundings. The landscapes were beautiful, but my mind was preoccupied with thoughts of Liu Wen. Checking into the hotel, I immediately made plans to visit her family home. I knew this might be my last chance to understand the circumstances fully and maybe find some peace.

The next morning, I found myself standing outside Liu Wen's family home. Taking a deep breath, I knocked on the door. A middle-aged woman opened it, her expression curious and slightly guarded. "Hello, I am looking for Liu Wen," I said, my voice steady all while taken aback by her beauty.
She nodded slowly, "Wen is not here right now. But I'm her mother. How can I help you?" Her tone was polite but wary.
"My name's Lin..Lin Feng, may I come in? I have some queries." I requested. She hesitated a bit but then stepped aside, allowing me into their modest but well-kept home.
Seated in their living room, I explained who I was and the nature of my relationship with Liu Wen. Her mother listened intently, her expression softening giving me system notifications [LIU QIYUE AFFINITY +1.....]
I spoke of our situation to her off course not the whole truth. "I came here to understand. I know you want the best for her, but I needed to see for myself," I concluded.
Mrs. Liu sighed deeply, "I understand your feelings, but Wen has made her decision. She is torn between her love for you and her duty to our family. The man she is to marry is a good man. I have known his parents for years." she said as she offered me tea.
"Can you at least tell me more about him?" I asked, hoping to grasp why Liu Wen's mother preferred this man over me.
She nodded, "His name is Zhang Wei. He's successful and earns good even after joining the company recently, he's someone we trust to take care of Wen. He loves her very much" she said sipping her own tea.
I frowned hearing the description of Zhang Wei. Liu Wen's mother was only looking out for her daughter's best interests. "Thank you for your honesty," I said.
"Do you have his picture or something" I asked to which she nodded and started searching for her phone.
While she was doing this my eyes checked her out and got slightly aroused, thinking a bit I added 2 affinity pills in her tea wiithout her noticing.
I wasn't afraid of getting caught as the pills are sweet like candies and disolve quickly. Getting her phone Mrs.Liu showed me Zhang Wei's image, after seeing which I drank my tea in one gulp and rose to leave and said "Please tell Liu Wen that I came, and I wish her all the happiness in the world." givingme yet another continued notifications prompt [LIU QIYUE AFFINITY +1.....]
As I stepped outside, I saw a man approaching. He looked about my age, with a wild and disorderly demeanor. It wasn't hard to guess who he was. "Zhang Wei?" I said as he reached the gate.
"Yes, and you are?" he replied, looking at me curiously.
"I'm Lin Feng. I came here to see Liu Wen," I said, my voice firm but respectful.
Hearing my name his face changed, anxious and frenzy in his eyes. "Why are you here bastard," he said.
"I know about you asshole and stay away from Wen. She is going to be my wife" he told me. He doesn't look as Mrs. Liu described I need to look into him I thought.
"I won't interfer," I said simply "For now at least" I thought. Calming Zhang Wei's mood. I suddenly got two system notifications

Zhang Wei smiled slightly. "Yeah she belongs to me." he said.
He thought I gave up and felt he won. I just sighed at his bad luck to be going against me I stood up, extended my hand and said while smiling,"Take care of her."
He shook my hand firmly, "I definitely will." he said licking his lips.
Returning to the hotel, I felt a strange mix of relief and sorrow. I had done what I came to do. Liu Wen's future was predetermined by me. Before I could got to the lift a man in mid-40's in a professional attire came to me.
"Boss Lin do you have time for a chat?" he asked politely to which I nodded. He then guided me to a luxurious office.
Getting into the office we sat opposite to each other on the office couch as he brewed tea for me. Serving me the tea he said "I'm Zhang Yuan the Managing Director of Kempinski Hotel."
"I know and never humble yourself before me when we're alone, you're older than me you know" I said easing the mood.
"Yes BOSS" he said to which I glared, "Yes..yes Lin Feng" he said hesitating a little.
"No need to ask instructions from me you're doing good as you are and only call me boss on official occasions you get that right uncle Zhang Yuan?" I said getting continuous affinity notifications.
"Chu Bai should have told you my nature, am I right" hearing me he just nodded. "By the way can you investigate someone for me?" I asked thinking back to the tricks I used against Shiyun and Ling'er's husbands.
I immediately gave him Zhang Wei's details and asked him to not do anything just snoop out everything about him.
