Later that night the tides changed, Cheng Xiao was not being called a shameless slut online. People were now more invested in the designs she has designed; people were also shocked to learn that she was Mr. Cheng's own niece.
The narrative had shifted to the people online calling them the perfect couple. Some even said there was no wrong with falling in love at work. Cheng Xiao's mother who had been worried in the hospital breathed a sigh of relief when she saw the narrative change. Cheng Xiao had called her mother earlier on and asked her not to stress about it and just focus on her health.
"Now I can shower you with love everywhere, the hiding comes to an end." Xu Kai said as he held her in his arms reading the news online.
"I am sure you are so happy about that one." Cheng Xiao replied.
"Not more than my mother." Xu Kai said.
"Why is she so happy about it?" Cheng Xiao asked.
"Because now she can brag about her daughter-in-law being the famous designer." Xu Kai said.
"In her circle, many women are obsessed with your designs and now she has the chance to tell the world that the woman they are all obsessed with is her daughter-in-law." Xu Kai added.
Cheng Xiao laughed at that.
"Let's eat out tonight." Xu Kai suggested.
"What do you want to eat?" Cheng Xiao asked.
"I feel like eating seafood today." Xu Kai replied.
"Alright, your call." Cheng Xiao said and stood up to get ready.
Xu Kai parked the car, and they both came out of the car. They walked inside and a waiter led them to a private booth, as they sat down the menus was brought to them to choose. Cheng Xiao picked the menu and ordered for a quick shrimp pasta and Xu Kai ordered for a pot seafood roast.
The food came and Cheng Xiao picked the fork; she twisted the spaghetti around the fork and brought it to her mouth. Before she could take a bite, the smell hit her nose, and she placed the fork back to the plate and crunched her nose.
"What is wrong?" Xu Kai said pushing his plate aside.
"I can't stand the smell." She said pushing the plate away.
"Okay, do you want to try mine?" Xu Kai asked her.
She reached into his plate and placed the fork down before it entered her mouth and shook her head.
"Okay, let us go and find something else to eat." Xu Kai said and called for the check.
"Is there something with the food sir, you haven't eaten." The waiter asked.
"Nothing is wrong my wife can't seem to eat it." Xu Kai said.
The waiter asked if they wanted to order a different dish, but Xu Kai said no. He paid the bill and they left; in the end they ended up going to an Italian restaurant where Cheng Xiao ordered for a large pepperoni pizza.
