Boom!
Fire burst out with a sound that hit from the gut and wrapped the man who had opened it. He staggered to his feet.
"Fire! Fire!"
He shouted and wandered.
"Burning water," someone said.
The burning man drifted toward the unit members, maybe hoping they would put him out.
Clang!!
I drew and cut in one motion and took the burning man's head. With his whole body on fire like that, the burns alone would have killed him. I seemed to remember that once a certain amount of the body was burned, you died. This man was burning all over. There was nothing to be done. Better to let him go easy.
The head lifted a little, heavy, then dropped to the floor. Someone had said burning water, but I could not see oil and I could not smell it. Anyway, the fire had to be put out.
