The day after next, paper came under the door.
"Good morning. This is Schneider."
Maxim wrote at once.
"Has palace personnel changed at all from before?"
The reply came quickly.
"Nothing has changed."

Paper came under the door again.
"Does Prince Maxim still wish to change the present state of the palace? Is there anything I can do to help?"
