Miura Kenichi was a pureblooded Japanese elite. Born into privilege, he had studied in Britain, America, and Europe before returning to Japan, where he was personally recruited by the Cabinet Intelligence and Research Office (CIRO).
But that wasn't all.
Miura had also been sent to the CIA for "special training"—where he mastered infiltration, assassination, and regime destabilization.
Although he came from a branch of his powerful family, he was determined to bring honor to his name.
His lineage was deeply entrenched in Japan's political and industrial elite, holding significant shares in Mitsui Group, Kawasaki Heavy Industries, and Ishikawajima-Harima Heavy Industries—all of which had crucial roles in Japan's aircraft engine sector.
That was exactly why Miura was chosen to lead Japan's team in the Tri-Nation Alliance operation.
His family also had its eyes on Castle's aviation technology.
When his powerful relatives discovered that a branch family member had already made a name for himself within CIRO, they immediately pulled political strings to ensure that this mission was placed in his hands.
And so, Miura Kenichi became the Japanese leader of the Tri-Nation Alliance task force, bringing his team to join the Turkish and Indian operatives in the mission.
His goal?
To use the techniques he had learned from the CIA to kidnap Castle and steal his technology.
If he succeeded, Japan could make huge leaps in its aviation industry.
And if that meant conducting a high-risk operation on American soil?
So be it.
Besides, Miura wasn't worried.
After all, weren't there two idiots—the Indians and the Turks—who could be used as scapegoats?
If things went south, he could easily sacrifice them to cover his escape.
More importantly, once the technology was secured, Miura had a clear mission:
To smuggle the stolen data to a secret Japanese research facility in Africa.
—
Although the Tri-Nation Alliance was composed of agents from three countries, Miura quickly became the de facto leader.
Initially, India—having contributed nine operatives—tried to assert dominance over the mission.
But even the arrogant Indian agents had to admit that none of their MI6-trained DIA operatives could match Miura's intelligence and tactical expertise.
With Turkey's support, it took Miura less than a day to seize full command of the task force.
—
Miura was among the first wave of operatives who arrived in Hawaii.
His six-man team—two agents from each country—had three objectives:
1. Establish safe houses and reactivate old connections among the Japanese Yakuza and other local contacts.
2. Coordinate with the weapons shipment en route from San Francisco.
3. Conduct reconnaissance on Castle's seaside estate before the full team arrived.
They needed five more days to fully assemble their forces and retrieve their weapons.
Only after everything was in place would they launch their attack.
Meanwhile, in New York, Suzuki Mitsuhiro and his three-man team also had to wait until the Hawaiian assault began before making their move on Castle's estate.
Upon arrival at JFK Airport, Suzuki and his team were immediately picked up by an Indian intelligence cell and taken to a safe house in the Bronx.
—
After Japan's previous failure in kidnapping Castle's daughter, the U.S. government had ruthlessly purged Japanese intelligence operatives and underground networks.
Meanwhile, Turkey was too preoccupied with fighting both Western-backed Kurdish forces and its own internal rebellions.
As a result, neither Japan nor Turkey had the ability to set up their own safe houses for this operation.
India, desperate to prove itself, had taken on this role instead.
The Indians boasted about how deeply they had infiltrated U.S. territory.
But what they didn't realize?
Both Japan and Turkey thought they were complete idiots.
Did they really think the U.S. wouldn't track down these networks after the mission?
Little did any of them know that Jarvis had already compromised India's entire East Coast intelligence network.
Joe Martinez already had a full list of Indian intelligence operatives, ready to be wiped out once this operation was over.
—
However, a completely unexpected factor threw Castle off guard.
The Fraternity was back.
—
Out of nowhere, two assassins from the "Fraternity" arrived at Suzuki's safe house within an hour of their arrival.
Jarvis, monitoring everything, immediately informed Castle, who was casually drinking beer on Robin's private beach with John and Jason.
Castle froze.
What the hell?
Hadn't he destroyed the Fraternity years ago?
After orchestrating the bombing of Sloan's textile factory in North Bergen—and with his father personally warning Sloan—the legendary assassin group had seemingly disappeared.
Had Cross failed to eliminate them?
With Jarvis' surveillance, the two assassins were quickly identified:
Codenames: "Pigeon" and "Trigger".
Unlike disposable hitmen, Fraternity assassins with code names were high-ranking members.
Castle immediately took this seriously.
With both himself and John in Hawaii, there was no top-tier fighter protecting Beckett and their son in New York.
Could Big Ivan's Russian bodyguards handle two elite assassins?
That was an unknown.
—
Castle wasted no time.
First, he immediately contacted:
1. Bob Lee Swagger, who was currently relaxing with Sam in the mountains near New York.
2. Seeley Booth, Jason's cousin, stationed in Washington, D.C.
Both men instantly agreed to drop everything and head to Castle's estate to provide protection.
Meanwhile, John contacted Winston at the Continental Hotel to inform him that Fraternity assassins were targeting Castle and John's families.
Winston, in turn, immediately relayed the information to Sean Connolly—who had only recently returned to North Africa.
Within minutes, Castle received a direct call from his father.
—
Sean finally learned the full extent of the chaos his son had gotten himself into.
After Castle gave him a detailed briefing, Sean instantly realized the severity of the situation.
Castle was stuck in Hawaii.
With no direct control over the New York situation, his only option was to rely on trusted allies.
Sean knew firsthand that Fraternity assassins were no joke.
Even a small mistake could lead to disaster.
And so, Sean made his decision.
—
From this moment forward, it was no longer just Castle, John, and Jason's fight.
It was about to become a full-scale war between:
- The Fraternity
- The Tri-Nation Alliance
- The U.S. government
- The Russian mafia
- And the Connolly family
And nobody was walking away unscathed.
