Chapter 5 - A Beginning To Power

Falling deep into his own mind Cameron opened his eyes and found he sat in front of a ball of energy. The energy floated around cam while he waited for something to happen. Alright, "I've scanned what I could." The ball spoke then began to shine incredibly bright until cam had to turn away. Once the light had passed, he looked back and saw a large man with some inhuman features. His arms held strange ridges along the forearm and had curved ears. Sort of like a clam shell.

Sternly looking at the boy in front of him he started speaking, his voice deep like a growl. "You've been selected by the system for me to train you. My path to power is difficult, painful, and requires willpower. Speak now or forever be bound to the path of constitution."

"Good" the man said while sitting down in front cam. "Let me explain this process a little further before we begin." Every soul obtains a great rarity upon their first kill. Since you were early your luck was greatly boosted granting you a legendary training meditation. Here I will train you in my style of combat. The one most suitable for men of steel like ourselves."

Cam nodded while the man continued

"I am go'akk'ar, you may call me akk. Although I am long dead in the multiverse, I live on through the system to keep my memory and martial lineage alive. This was willingly I assure you"

Getting no response akk continued. "The unique title and innate skill you have acquired has given you many advantages that I never had starting. This will be an incredible boon for the future. Now let me teach you the first technique and most important. Energy replacement. This will replace your spirit stat with the aura stat. This is paramount to the warriors who foresake the path of the mana and rely upon their own flesh and bone. But do not worry aura can be just as powerful.Watch me closely."

Standing the man took a squared stance and lowered his center of gravity. " spiritual energy is useless to us. We will never use it so my technique is developed without it. Crushing it and molding it into the magical manifestation of the body." As he said this a palpable aura flowed from his body, causing cams body to shake in effort to stay standing. " This is aura. Using this to train your bodies constitution is key to training it as fast as possible. What you need to do is lock the spiritual energy inside and condense it. Once you've condensed the container enough smash it with all your will then release the broken energy through the body. This will change your spirit to aura and allow you to take the warriors path. Do beware this will hurt."

Staring at akk cam stood and entered the stance. While getting ready he internally thought 'do I really want to go this path?' However remembering his parents and brother he nodded and started. Reaching inside himself was simple. Finding the core that held his mystical energy took slightly longer but once he found it he started. Willing the container to shrink and break until he couldn't anymore he released it. Instantly every inch of his body felt like fire. His lugs would not listen to him and he struggled to breathe, opting to unwillingly wiggle around a little while his body tore itself apart from the inside out.

After what felt like forever, but was actually an hour of intense suffering, cam's body relaxed. A palpable energy then burst out off his skin causing the unmoving air to burst out. The energy was a light green color looking at his hands as the energy flowed off his body Cameron waved his hand back and forth.

"Ah!" Akk said, "that took longer than usual. And you're at green stage already. Your constitution must be halfway through tier one." Staring intently at his aura akk continued while tapping his plated chin. "Hmm, that's strange. I've never seen an aura look like fire before. Must be something your title changed. I can't be sure since your title is hidden even from me but I can feel it greatly increases your constitution." Alright, now I'm gonna teach you a self destruction technique that while can be used in combat, it's meant for training."

Standing up cam followed Akks lead. "Take the aura, which you manifest with your will and body.

Then violently force it around you. This should create a vortex around you that will harm you everywhere at once. Using this is tiring, but it is the fastest training method available for you now. Once you escape the tutorial you can…" Akks mouth moved, but sound never came out. Noticing cams questioning gaze he sighed and said. Welp nothing we can do about that. Alright once you return to your body you need to train yourself until your body collapses. Your regeneration will fix your training fatigue every night so do not hold back." Nodding Akk stood and walked back and forth in front of cam. "While others would normally say this to their protégées, you should kill as much as possible so you won't fall behind. I do not believe in such a method. And I can already tell you don't have the will to murder thoughtlessly for empty strength. Come back to me when you enter the tutorial. By then we should be able to move forward with more advanced techniques. Instantly teleporting to cams face he tapped his forehead.

Sitting there naked, skin soaked in sweat and blood he only had one thought. 'Train and live for his family.'

Cleaning himself and the wooden floor he'd bled and sweat on he trained again. Training so hard that he didn't even leave the indoor gym to sleep. Just falling asleep as soon as his head hit the floor.

The next day he woke up, still laying in the gym he stood and stretched. Getting ready for the day he ate a quick breakfast before heading out. Passing his family's burial stones he'd laid out he almost stopped to cry. As soon as he felt the pressure on his heart he gritted his teeth and marched forward, finding a flat grassy spot around 50 feet from the cabin.

Sitting down and imitating a meditation pose he began. His aura sputtering out in small bursts as he concentrated on the instructions Akk had given him. Sweat poured from his head as he gave it his all.

His aura fluttered then went silent. He laid on his back panting. What felt like hours later but was 3 days of unmoving meditation. Taking a glance over to the ramshackle grave of his family his face contorted into anger. 'Why' he thought. 'Why did this happen to us. How do I move on?' Curling into a fetal position he sobbed out. 'What do I do? Mom? Dad? David? How do I conrinue moving forward when there is no where left to move?'

"Get up" a voice said from behind him. He stood and turned instantly. But nothing was behind him. Calming down and taking a few seconds to breathe he laid back down his arms out wide.

"Are you really gonna lay there and bleed son? Or are you gonna get up and do what you were born to do?"

Not moving an inch cam sighed looking up to his fathers image glaring at him. The hallucination smiled and kneeled close to cams face.

"Now, what will it be son?"
