Years ago, he sometimes heard his parents mention that name when they were at home.
"Mr. Horan called me. There will be a meeting at the laboratory today, so he asked us to come to the laboratory early."
That was what his mother said when she was in a hurry to go to the laboratory after receiving a call from someone.
"I have submitted the report to Mr. Horan, and he seemed satisfied with it. However, he asked me to check other variables as well, other than the ones we had chosen earlier. He said that we might be able to make progress this time."
And that was what his father said during one of the rare dinners that his family held at home.
It was rare for him to chat with his parents because they were too busy with their work in the laboratory, and most of the time, he heard his parents talking about work at home. Of course, he couldn't understand the contents of the conversation, but he was sure that he had sometimes heard the name "Mr. Horan" mentioned before.
