Vivian and Winnie were originally following Ning Fan along, but suddenly sensed him stopping. They looked at Ning Fan in surprise and asked,
"What's the matter? Why did you stop suddenly?"
Ning Fan shook his head,
"I seem to have sensed a rat. Didn't expect it to lack the courage and just run away."
After sneering, Ning Fan turned and left. Vivian and Winnie exchanged puzzled glances but didn't ask and simply followed Ning Fan back.
Upon reaching the inn, Winnie recalled what her father said to her last night, feeling a bit worried. But she didn't know where to find her father and ended up pacing around the inn alone.
The only relief was that it was morning, so the kind of situation her father mentioned wouldn't occur. After all, Ning Fan was known for his formidable strength, and the recent defeat of Arthur was still fresh in the minds of people in nearby cities.
She hoped her father would realize Ning Fan's prowess and stop his actions; otherwise, they'd be doomed.
