With the relief that comes from being rescued, combined with the steep respect the people now hold for Night Silver due to the resurrection of their family and friends… They celebrated with a village party. The food was initially rather light, and simple. However, when told about this issue, Night Silver quickly solved the problem creating a few different farm animals to use for the feast.
Ah, this is how it all started way back then. We created a powerful civilization together, and it all started with this type of thing. I'm glad I worked as hard as I did to make all of this happen. To thank these people for such a wonderful memory, hmm, what should I give them?
With his advanced age by comparison to his fellow villagers, the village chief, along with his wife both noticed the thoughtful expression on Night Silver's face.
"My Goddess, is something bothering you? Perhaps with the food? Or maybe our gratitude?" The chief asked a little worried about what or even how to speak to this woman… She's so beautiful, caring, kind, and warm… Is it even possible for me to understand what her thoughts really are?
Night Silver blinked, and then gave a small smile to the village chief and his wife, prompting the wife to seemingly sense something.
"Lady Goddess, if there is anything our humble village can do for you-" She spoke with a mix of concern, and expectation.
Night Silver remained smiling, then glanced at the several friends and their children. She looked at the festivities, the sharing of food, and the playing of children. It was a few moments but when her expression turned into a most infectious and beautiful smile, is when she decided to speak.
"I love everything about this party. The friends and families are enjoying each other's company. It's overall the most pleasant of atmospheres. A true joy to be around. I do have a fear though…"
"What is that, if I may ask, my Goddess?"
Night Silver let out a giggle. "You'll need to set the table for a few extra guests this time around. You see, there's a small band headed this way by horse back. While I sense killing intent, it doesn't appear to be from malicious thought, rather out of a sense to protect others… In other words, I think they would be amenable to enjoying a bite to eat upon arrival."
"Oh? Is that so, arrangements can be made."
"But, my lady, that's not all, is it? Your expression earlier looked like you were expecting something else?"
"Hmm? You've got a wonderful eye there, a shame you aren't younger. I would have loved it if you participated in having a child alongside me, once, or maybe twice."
"Really?"
"Yes, there was a time where I didn't conceive any children, then I came to love it. Now, I continue to bear children constantly. I love seeing them grow up into wonderful gods, and goddesses of their own. My people love the idea too, it's a sort of comfort to them. For no matter what year they are born, there will always be a God, or Goddess in their generation."
The chief and his wife blushed at the idea.
"You must live in a truly wonderful place."
"I do, I really do. A land where my people are free to live, laugh, and love. Where all types of families are, a man with many women, or maybe a woman with many men, or even a mixture of men and women." She sipped her wine. "Where children are free to play, and are also taught everything about the world, and how to do whatever it is they desire to do with the life they have. Some of the more lucky ones I have personally bore them a child. I do it from time to time… But the thing I love most, is the sense of love we all share for our fellow Tus Nadairians. Crime just doesn't happen."
"That's a truly wonderful place."
Night Silver, continuing the mark of a god, floated up from her chair landing to her feet and spun around, her hair trailing behind her, and to those who witnessed the scene nearly left reality from the perfect vision before them.
"I'd love to see love blossom again, and fruits continue to bud, even here, in this place. You have my blessings to rear your children safely. From now on, you'll have mages trained in this sort of thing. Childbirth isn't even painful for us anymore."
The women, who'd been hesitant to have another child, looked like a weight of worry had been lifted off of them. Then, Night Silver began dancing with the villagers, offering them all a chance to be touched by the goddess they all now revered. The chief, and his wife, went to speak with the man in armor.
"Pardon me for my rudeness Lord Touch Me, but might I request a favor of you? It should only take up a moment of your time."
"Hmm? Oh, you're the chief of this village, right? My friend over there, Night Silver, is so enchanting I almost didn't hear the two of you." Lord Touch Me laughed. "But yes, I shall help you, because helping someone in trouble is always the right thing to do."
"You're truly a man worthy of nobility. Goddess Night Silver has informed me that there are men, upon horse back, riding this way at high speed. I'd be honored if you would stand at my side to greet them in case they are not friendly."
"Of course, I shall do my best to protect you. So fear not, for a champion is by your side!"
Right around the edge of the village, the three of them stood and waited for their new guests. It wasn't long, the sun had just begun to set over the horizon by the time they arrived. The most distinguished man rode up close, staying on his horse's back to announce himself.
"My name is Gazef Stronoff, I come here upon orders from his majesty the King. Fear not, my men and I will protect you from the marauders. Who among you is the chief of this village?"
Gazef's eyes looked around, darting between the three figures, his expression was a curious and controlled, interested, hostility… One measured back as to not scare others, and yet, also just enough to be prepared at a moment's notice... He had the mark of a true warrior.
