Chapter 2 - Goodbyes

***Author's note: This is the softest chapter you will read for a long time. My apologies in advance.***

Violet's friends were throwing her a party after school, just before she left for her last day. Tonight, the full moon would witness her departure from home and the beginning of her new life as a princess. She would develop new friendships at her night school, where she would meet other beings from the night world.

Violet's last school day was filled with joy and love. Her classmates showered her with flowers, chocolates, plushies, and cards, expressing their deep affection and admiration. As the school goddess and campus beauty, Violet was adored by everyone. However, it was her heart that would be missed the most. Violet was a true friend to all, actively volunteering for the school and singing lead in the school choir.

The teachers ordered pizza for the class, and the entire experience was unforgettable. Around 5 o'clock, her father's UV-protected limousine pulled up. After giving her final goodbyes to her friends, she got into the car and drove away. She didn't know how long it would be before she'd see her friends again.

"We're stopping at a hotel along the way to change before you meet the Drakarys'." Her papa said.

Violets heart was hammering at her. Anxiety was washing over her body like a summer rain shower.

''This is really happening, none of this is a dream, I really am being taken to the vampire princes' manor.'' she said to her self. She hoped it would be wonderful just like her home life and that they would love her and treasure her like her friends and family did. Just as she'd been told. She wondered what they would look like. She'd never seen them before. 'Would they think I'm pretty?' she wondered. She imagined what her room would like and what her new life would be like that. Hoping was all she could do.

After arriving at the hotel she showered and changed into an evening gown.

She looked absolutely stunning in her long, flowing white silk dress. The gown was adorned with sparkling gems, giving it a dazzling appearance. The silver straps accentuated her skin, creating a harmonious blend of elegance and grace. Radiated an ethereal beauty, like moonlight illuminating a cherry blossom tree. The dress hugged her curves perfectly, not overly curvy, but rather possessing a graceful hourglass figure. As she gazed into the mirror, she truly embodied the essence of a woman. Her long, beautiful, and soft pink hair cascaded down her back, adding to her captivating allure. She accessorized with a delicate necklace featuring a moon-shaped diamond charm and matching earrings, honoring the Goddess Artemis, completing her enchanting appearance.

She was sure to make anyone looking, break their necks just to get a second chance to look her way. Dressed to kill she left the room to meet her father in the hotel lobby. And sure, enough everyone stopped in their tracks and starred at this incredible beauty walking up to her father. She was stunning in the light of the lobby. All eyes watched as she exited the elevator. A goddess in flesh. She a sight to behold.

"My darling you look good enough to eat" he laughed. Her papa always making jokes. Even bad ones at the worst of times.

Violet felt a tad bit uncomfortable, like the joke held some kind of haunting truth to it. She just shrugged off the anxious feeling joke was in bad taste, but she laughed with him. Pretending everything was perfect.

Pretending to be fine.

Pretending to be okay.

She was about to be in a house full of vampires. Everything she was taught told her, her blood was an intoxicating drug, living them would no doubt expose her blood. And who would most likely drink her blood?

The thought made Violet shiver.

They drive off with only an hour left before she says goodbye to her Papa.

Will she see him again for Christmas? She realized she didn't even know when the next time she would see her father. Pain ached in heart at having to say goodbye to her Papa.

Her papa was someone she cherished even if his love always felt shallow.

They pulled up to the manor. With tall gates that surrounded the place, it eluded luxury and status. This looked to be the size of three houses. Standing tall and like the color of pearls.

''That's barely a manor, it's practically a palace.'' Violet mumbled to herself.

"How about that, my daughter will be living as a princess" her papa brimming with delight. Walking up the terrance they are greeted by the butler who opened the door. Now that it was to be known it was his family that happened to have a maiden, the first one in centuries, his status would rise, elevating his entire clans. He would get rich, she was his ticket to easy living and power.

The butler says nothing as he led them into the receiving room.

When they walk in, she sees them for the first time. 'Oh my gosh, they are the most beautiful men I've ever seen.' She thought to herself.

Tall, attractive, and charismatic, their looks were as deadly as they were.

The one with blue hair stepped forward.

"Hello my dear, it is a pleasure to finally meet you, we've been waiting a very long

time. You are absolutely ravishing. I'm Gabriel, the oldest and head of the house and these are my brothers" Gabriel introduces them one by one to her. She nodded with each one.

Introducing himself first with his vibrant blue hair, strong square jawline, and intense eyebrows, exuded an aura of arrogance. Standing tall with broad shoulders and large arms, he filled his button-down long-sleeved dress shirt. Despite his pleasant tone, his impatience was almost palpable.

The second brother was Riley who had black hair and grey eyes his face was perfectly symmetrical with a slender, but muscular build, you could tell he was a model with how practiced his posing was. His smile felt like it hid a devious dark side to him. He observed Violet like she was a delectable dessert. He raked his eyes all over her body, noticing her perky breasts and slender curves the dress complimented her figure nicely and he thought she would look so much better with the dress on the floor though.

Oliver, with his messy brown hair and captivating amber eyes, exuded an aura of beauty and menace. Standing taller than Riley, his athletic build added to his imposing presence. He felt quite amused by Violet's optimistic demeanor, he couldn't help but imagine how much fun they would have together.

When her eyes fell on Asher, her heart nearly stopped beating. He was possibly the most beautiful man she'd ever seen. His aura radiated power and ruthlessness. He was tall and had hair the color of ice white with hints of silver, that complemented the pale silver of his eyes. His lips were luscious. Violet desperately wanted to reach out and touch them. Curious to their softness. He held a cold and domineering look on his face, his jaw was tightened and he frowned as he stared at her. Even with such a scowl on his face, he was still the most breathtaking man Violet had ever seen.

The youngest was Jeremy; he was the smallest, though that was still much taller than violet who only stood about 5'3. He was holding a stoic attitude and indifferent look. He had golden yellow eyes with long shaggy blonde hair his face looked young, even younger than Violet's. His face held no smile and was void of all emotion.

Introducion's was about all the conversation that happened. The Drakarys had no intention of inviting Violet's father in any further or engaging in conversation with this man they felt to be a social ladder climber and bumbling idiot. They just wanted to get this over with, get the girl and get him out.

Ash especially despised the useless pleasantries that were expected to be given from him. Ash hated the idea of being with her. She was probably just like her father. While some of his brothers were excited, some felt it simply their duty try..

Sensing he's over staying his welcome Violets father cried as he says his goodbyes. Her father was feeling heartbroken about leaving his daughter but excited about what his daughter's knew status meant to his clan and how it increased his.

His precious little girl was standing grown up right before his eyes. His little angel was to be Queen. Even if another Maiden were to be born, Violet would still be the one to wear the crown. And to him that's what mattered.

He was sad he might never see her again, but couldn't help the building excitement to spend all the money he would get for her.

"Violet just be yourself, they are bound to love you as much as I do." He whispered before kissing his daughters forehead "I love you to the moon and back my darling" closing the door behind him.

She turns around and sees those five beautiful brothers.

And losing her breath, it suddenly hit her like a pile of bricks.

She was alone.

In a house full of Vampires. Anyone of these five brothers could end up being her husband. All she had to do was get pregnant with one of their babies.

But until she was with child.

She belonged to them.
