"This is insane! How could father do this?!" Edward raised his voice, pacing frantically about his mother's bedroom.
"Please calm down, you're going to raise your blood pressure." Laura tried to coo him, but her he turned his anger to her instead.
Shaking her shoulders, he barked at her, "How can you be so calm?! Not only did Desmond receive the smallest share of assets, but Matthew and Maverick got a larger share than William!" he huffed, his shoulders violently quaking.
Laura shrank back, this angry side of Edward was the side of him she was always clueless on how to handle.
Sophia scoffed, drawing their attention, "Malcolm and Rosalind must be having a field day! Not only did Matthew get the second best share of assets, but Thane was still crowned heir! Even after all our efforts, we're worse than where we started off!"
Desmond cleared his throat, "Father, what does all this mean? Will Thane truly get back everything? What about me and William?"
