Chapter 57 - Chapter 57 Complaining Teacher Ruo Lin

"Teacher, I also want to take a leave..." Xiao Yan's calm voice echoed in the tent, causing Teacher Ruolin, who had been in a good mood, to frown.

The extended leave granted to Mo Yu was due to his extraordinary talent. Ruolin had bent the rules to admit him. If anyone thought the academy's rules could be easily broken by anyone, Ruolin was prepared to set them straight before the school year started.

Although Xiao Yan's talent was impressive, and his A-level potential could rank among the top 100 new students, it was not as critical as Mo Yu's terrifying SSS-level potential.

Seeing Ruolin's displeasure, Xiao Yan scratched his head. Although he felt uncomfortable asking for a leave, he was firm in his request. The three-year battle with Nalan Yanran had left a significant burden on him. He believed that training with Yao Lao would accelerate his growth. Moreover, like Mo Yu, he valued his freedom and found the stable, peaceful college environment limiting.

Just as the atmosphere became tense, Mo Yu, who had been absent-minded, suddenly coughed twice, drawing everyone's attention.

"Teacher Ruolin, our family refers to Xiao Yan and me as the twin dragons of the Xiao family. Aren't you curious why?" Mo Yu said.

Ruolin and several students turned their curious gazes towards Xiao Yan. Initially, it seemed that Mo Yu and Xiao Yan were grouped together simply due to their family connection, but Mo Yu's comment suggested there was more to it.

Ruolin blinked, her irritation fading as curiosity took over. "Oh? Is there a reason behind this?"

Mo Yu turned to look at the serene and graceful girl beside him and chuckled. "Let Xun'er explain it."

With that, Mo Yu closed his eyes, leaving the explanation to Xun'er. He was merely assisting Xiao Yan but wasn't particularly interested in praising him.

Teacher Ruolin, though amused by Mo Yu's demeanor, turned to Xun'er with admiration. The sixteen-year-old six-star fighter was clearly talented, though not as strong as Mo Yu, and seemed far more composed than the troublesome student.

"You must be Xun'er. Could you explain what Mo Yu mentioned?" Teacher Ruolin asked gently.

"Of course, Teacher Ruolin." Xun'er nodded with a sweet smile, her eyes forming delicate crescents. "Cousin Mo Yu is right. In the Xiao family, Brother Xiao Yan and Cousin Mo Yu are known for their unique talents. I'm not as remarkable."

Ruolin raised an eyebrow. Becoming a six-star fighter at sixteen was impressive, but Xun'er's modesty suggested that the Xiao family might be an extraordinary, hidden powerhouse from Zhongzhou. She shook her head, still intrigued but skeptical. "Mo Yu is exceptional, but what about Xiao Yan?"

Attention shifted to Xiao Yan, who felt a warm appreciation for Mo Yu and Xun'er's support, despite his own discomfort.

"Many people in Wutan City are familiar with my story. Cousin Mo Yu and Xun'er are exaggerating," Xiao Yan said, trying to downplay his achievements.

Xun'er, however, wanted to ensure her loved one was recognized properly. She frowned slightly and recounted, "Brother Xiao Yan, don't you remember that you were refining Qi at four, reached the ninth level of Dou Qi by ten, and became a Dou Zhe by eleven?"

The room buzzed with shock as Instructor Ruolin and the others processed this information. An eleven-year-old fighter was unprecedented in Jia Nan Academy.

"Furthermore," Xun'er continued softly, "From twelve to fifteen, Brother Xiao Yan advanced from a fighter to the third level of Dou Qi. After three years of a training hiatus, he regained his incredible talent and, in just a year and a half since turning fifteen, rose from the third stage to a four-star Dou Master."

The tent erupted with gasps of awe. Xiao Yan's talent, alongside Mo Yu's, made him a standout.

Mo Yu, listening to Xun'er praise Xiao Yan, opened his eyes slightly and smiled faintly. He was focused on leaving Wutan City for a broader world, even if it meant parting from his friends and family. The past two years had been a rare period of comfort, but it was time to move on.

As the discussion concluded, Xiao Yan's negotiation for a leave ended. Teacher Ruolin, influenced by Mo Yu's example, granted Xiao Yan's request for a one-year leave without much fuss. The dramatic scene of Xiao Yan fighting a Great Fighting Master was avoided.

With the approval granted, Ruolin looked at Mo Yu and Xiao Yan, exhaled deeply, and her figure shifted slightly.

As Teacher Ruolin reflected, she couldn't help but murmur with a touch of exasperation, "What are the two dragons of the Xiao family? I think they're more like the two troubles of the Xiao family..."
