Out of twelve Avaluggs, only some were hit by Lian's fan-shaped flames, but that was sufficient. Against these Avaluggs, Lian and Ninetales proved most effective.

After all, Incineroar and Talonflame are primarily physical attackers, making their impact significantly less than Fire-type Special Attack Pokemon. This became evident from Incineroar's struggle against the Avalugg earlier.

With Lian, however, they would have been annihilated swiftly.

Talonflame and other Pokemon unleashed their moves, striking the hard bodies of the Avaluggs. In response, the Avaluggs initiated counterattacks, charging forward with intent to collide using their massive frames.

Being struck by an Avalugg, considering its heavy weight and immense momentum, could cause significant damage—especially when facing twelve simultaneous charges.

The William's Pokemon, particularly trained in martial arts, demonstrated their prowess. Machamp, wielding a sword, delivered a powerful downward slash before any Avalugg could reach. With tremendous force, it shattered the ice crystal body of one Avalugg instantly.

Then, Machamp positioned the longsword defensively. As an Avalugg collided, it effectively deflected most of the impact's energy, absorbing the remainder effortlessly.

The longsword wielded by Machamp was undoubtedly made of high-quality metal; an ordinary weapon might have shattered under such impact.

After absorbing the collision, Machamp swiftly retaliated. Since its initial strike wasn't a formal move, it could now unleash one effectively.

This showcased Machamp's true capabilities as its arms forcefully crossed and struck the Avalugg with a Fighting-type Cross Chop.

Cross Chop dealt double damage to the Avalugg, compounded by the previous Fire-type attacks from Lian. The massive Avalugg body recoiled instantly, eventually collapsing and losing its ability to fight.

Following Machamp's victory, the other Pokemon confidently dispatched their respective Avalugg opponents. Although some Pokemon sustained injuries, they were not significant issues.

Within moments, six Avalugg had fallen, unable to continue battling, leaving only six relatively unscathed.

While Avalugg possessed decent offensive abilities, their primary tactic of ramming was not aligned with their natural type. Both Kalia's and Takan's Pokemon were their main combatants, making it challenging for any Avalugg to quickly defeat them within a short time frame.

With the Avalugg numbers dwindling rapidly and the Giant Avalugg preoccupied by Lian, unable to provide support, victory seemed almost certain for Kalia's team.

After blocking one of Lian's Flame Spirals, the Giant Avalugg appeared somewhat helpless against him. The Avalugg lacked effective long-range attacks, primarily being a close-combat defensive Pokémon.

Facing Lian's agile flying type, aside from waiting for him to approach and seizing the opportunity to counter-attack, there seemed few options available.

Just as Lian thought the Giant Avalugg had limited strategies, it suddenly let out a roar.

A massive blizzard erupted in the sky, directly sweeping towards Lian. Due to its vast range, he felt unable to fully evade.

Boom!

Lian was engulfed by the blizzard, but since Avaluggs aren't known for their Special moves, despite feeling the chilling impact, he didn't sustain significant damage.

To Lian's surprise,

in the following moment, the temperature around him plummeted, and hail began to fall from the sky. Unlike ordinary hail, these were larger chunks accompanied by falling snow.

"That's strange. Why did Hail weather suddenly appear after using a move?" Lian was puzzled.

Despite his confusion, the battle continued. Lian swiftly unleashed his second move, Flame Spiral. Although he didn't suffer severe damage from the Blizzard, it still left him uncomfortable.

It's time to quickly defeat this Giant Avalugg. Since it just performed an unusual Blizzard move, there's no chance for it to erect its defensive ice wall again now.

With that, this Flame Spiral should be a guaranteed hit. Once struck, the Giant Avalugg would likely struggle to withstand such intense damage.

Boom!

This time, the Giant Avalugg couldn't defend and took a direct hit on its sturdy icy back by Lian's Flame Spiral.

The scorching heat combined with the fierce flame impact elicited a mournful cry from the Giant Avalugg, indicating significant damage.

Even parts of the Avalugg's body began melting due to the extreme temperature. With Lian's Special Attack ability over 2000, unleashing a full-power Flame Spiral, the double-effective damage was undeniably terrifying.

To Lian's surprise, despite such intense heat and flames, the Giant Avalugg was not defeated.

Some of the falling hail seemed to merge into its body, repairing the damage. As the flames subsided, although visibly wounded, the Giant Avalugg retained its combat capability.

"Something's off here," Lian pondered, wondering if the increased size also boosted its Stamina beyond the usual limits set by base stats.

Lian was confident that even two regular Avalugg combined couldn't withstand his Flame Spiral, yet this Giant Avalugg endured it, which was highly unusual.

This Giant Avalugg wasn't just a simple mutation or individual variation; there appeared to be deeper changes at play, though he didn't fully understand them yet.

Wasting no time, Lian decisively unleashed another Air Slash, swiftly finishing off the already weakened Giant Avalugg before it could erect any protective barrier.

Facing the Air Slash, the severely injured Avalugg had little chance to counterattack. The move drained its remaining strength, causing it to collapse with a thunderous impact, sending tremors through the ground.

As the Giant Avalugg collapsed, its fall drew attention from others nearby. Takan's gaze intensified upon witnessing this.

"A remarkably powerful Charizard."

Without Lian's widespread flames earlier, it wouldn't have been so effortless to defeat numerous Avaluggs swiftly.

The fact that Lian had spare capacity during battle to assist other Pokémon and effortlessly vanquish the Giant Avalugg further elevated Takan's impression of him.

With Lian joining the fray, the battle quickly reached its conclusion, becoming overwhelmingly one-sided. Soon, all the Avaluggs were completely dealt with.

Although none of the Avaluggs perished, they would undoubtedly be taken back for research, as these were newly discovered Pokémon.

Of utmost importance was the Giant Avalugg, exceptionally unique and likely holding significant value for the League's studies.

"Let's first check if there are any remaining Avaluggs before notifying the Pokémon Center," Kalia suggested. The mission was essentially complete; now it could be handed over to the League.

With little left to do, once the rewards were collected, the task would officially conclude.
