Lian navigated through the tall trees, following closely behind Kalia. From his elevated vantage point, he scanned the surroundings for potential signs of additional Avaluggs.
Considering that the Avaluggs had appeared recently yet caused such extensive environmental changes, it was likely due to a collective effort by a large group of them altering the landscape.
With the defeat of the Avaluggs, the icy environment gradually started transforming back towards its original state, albeit slowly.
Once the unnatural influence is removed, nature gradually adjusts itself until the ecosystem returns to its previous balance.
"Why did these Pokemon invade the land?" Kalia murmured to herself as she noticed melted snow revealing several deceased Pokemon, causing her a momentary sigh.
Pokemon generally have strong life forces, significantly more resilient than humans, but even then, the abrupt change in environment proved fatal for many - all stemming from the Avalugg invasion.
Kalia felt an urge to investigate the underlying cause; however, with the League's Trainers expected to take over hereafter, she didn't want to disrupt her own plans for earning income and decided against pursuing further inquiry.
Kalia sat atop Sceptile's tail, scanning her surroundings continuously as they moved, searching for Avaluggs.
After some time, they found and cleared another group of Avaluggs, but no further sightings occurred.
Later, Kalia reunited with William, confirming that no additional Avaluggs were present, and the northern region had largely returned to normal.
Restoring it completely was just a matter of time, but unless the source of the invasion was identified, there could be future incursions by other Pokemon onto land.
"How about we check out the North Sea?" Kalia suggested. It seemed the League Trainers wouldn't arrive soon, so instead, they could investigate near the North Sea to determine what caused the Avalugg invasion.
Even if they couldn't pinpoint the exact cause, gathering more clues would be beneficial. The North Sea is a mysterious expanse without any islands, serving as a haven for marine Pokemon; Kalia had never ventured there before.
"Let's go take a look, but don't venture too deep to avoid potential dangers," agreed Takan, showing some interest. However, safety came first, as open ocean without islands can be treacherous. If a Flying-type Pokémon were injured and crashed, it would pose significant risks.

Lian carried Kalia through the air, gazing at the distant azure ocean. They had reached the northern edge of the Sebas Region, just beyond lay the North Sea.
No one knew what existed beyond the North Sea, as there were no islands for resting points. No individual has ever successfully crossed it; those who ventured forth either returned midway or disappeared without trace.
Regardless, the North Sea remained both mysterious and perilous.
Kalia dared not venture too deep, aware that nature's power is formidable. Humans, being fragile creatures, could easily perish with a single misstep.
"Charizard, let's just explore nearby," suggested Kalia. Avalugg, with their heavy bodies and slow movements, likely wouldn't have strayed far from their original habitat.
By examining the vicinity around the North Sea, they should be able to find traces of Avalugg activity, potentially revealing the reasons behind their migration.
"Agreed. Talonflame, you also start scouting the area," commanded William, directing their Talonflame to investigate the surroundings.
Time swiftly passed, and soon night fell.
The North Sea was vast, and despite flying for quite some time, Lian found no significant traces of Avaluggs. However, he did encounter several rare marine Pokemon, including ones he had never seen before, piquing his curiosity.
Kalia diligently recorded these sightings with her Pokédex. Although most species were already documented by the Pokemon League, there are numerous types, making it likely that undiscovered ones still exist.
Nonetheless, the presence of unknown Pokemon in the North Sea puzzled Kalia. The League must have explored this area previously, so why would there suddenly be such a surge in unidentified species? It seemed highly unusual.
"Let's head back to land," suggested Kalia. It was getting late, time to rest, and they could continue their investigation tomorrow. They anticipated the League representatives to arrive then as well.
With that, Lian swiftly flew towards the shore.
Late at night, Lian lay on the ground near their tent, its tail swaying unconsciously while gentle snores indicated deep sleep.
Meanwhile, Lian's consciousness entered the system space, reviewing today's battle data. Since the Giant Avalugg was the first Pokemon he defeated, the combat statistics displayed detailed information about it.
The Giant Avalugg was still referred to as an Avalugg, but with an additional "Unknown Status" label displayed before its name.

Lian wasn't yet sure what this unknown status entailed, but it clearly seemed related to the Avalugg's enormous size.

If not for their inherently low speed base stat, today's battle would have been much more challenging to win.
In Pokemon battles, speed is crucial; unless a slow Pokemon excels in other aspects, facing off against swift opponents puts them at a significant disadvantage.
For a Level 60 Giant Avalugg, its data panel showcased impressive values. However, compared to other abilities, Lian noticed something peculiar about the Stamina ability value.
Since Lian didn't know the base stats of an Avalugg, he could only make rough estimations. But based on his calculations, the Avalugg's Stamina base stat should not be that high.
The data panel displayed Giant Avalugg's Physical Ability Value at an astonishingly high 2,994 points, nearly reaching three thousand, which was highly unusual.
Even for a Snorlax, with its exceptional Stamina ability value, once it reached around level sixty without specialized training, it would typically max out at around two thousand six hundred. Yet, Giant Avalugg exceeded this by almost four hundred Stamina points compared to a Snorlax.
Converting this into base stat values, Avalugg's Stamina base stat must have been over two hundred, placing its overall base stats on par with Legendary Pokemon—an impossibility.
Lian was intrigued by the unknown state of the Avalugg, not because he wished to enter such a state himself, but because defeating these enhanced Pokemon yielded higher rewards and significantly more combat power gains.
For instance, from this battle alone, Lian earned over three thousand combat power points. The significant factors contributing were the large level disparity and Giant Avalugg's extraordinary Stamina value.
Currently, Lian's total combat points had surpassed ten thousand, marking the first time since exhausting all his points previously that he had broken through this threshold again.
However, it still wasn't enough. To further enhance his abilities using the system, accumulating a substantial amount of combat points remained essential.
